I don't even know how to respond to this "news". I can't believe that Ledecky is this out of touch with reality, or gives this little a s**t about success. Keeping Snow as GM is a mistake. Rubber-stamping his return to the post 48 hrs after the season ended, clearly not having taken any time to evaluate this train wreck of a season, in which the team gave up the most goals of any team in the NHL in ten years and missed the playoffs by 17 points, is just asinine.

The only justification there is to keep Snow as GM is if that move guarantees JT is returning. Anything short of guaranteeing JT's return, there is absolutely no reason to keep Snow as GM.

Amazing. I looked forward to the off-season to get some optimism about the team going forward. This just shot that to s**t.

Snow needs to be ousted completely. None of this "negative promotion" to President of Hockey Operations or any of that shit. He needs to be wholly removed from this organization, along with all of his nepotism hires.

If they have to "negatively promote" (I like that term!) to get him out of a decision-making role, then so be it. The Isles need to get him away from the decision-making process.

I do not want Garth as GM even if it guarantees JT coming back. Garth should not be GM under any circumstances.

Like i said before if JT staying hinges inexplicably on Snow keeping his job we don't need him here any longer. Time for a culture change.

Well, this doesn't sound like JT's previous comments!
"I've got to take some time to see how things go over the next few days and few weeks and collect my thoughts and move on from there," Tavares said Monday, according to Brian Compton of NHL.com. "I think I've earned the right to take my time. I don't know if it will be a week, two weeks, a month, two months, I don't really know."

Tavares added that he's still processing the way the Islanders' season played out, and noted that he hasn't considered who might make him an offer if things get to that point.

"You don't know how many opportunities you get to get to this point and possibly see what the landscape is," Tavares said. "I don't even necessarily know if that's really what I want to do yet. I've always stated how much I love it here. It's emotional either way. Great organization, great place to play. Obviously, I want it to work out here."

I agree but I have a hard time believing this narrative. First, if JT thinks Snow will build a championship team around him then he's an idiot and needs to go. Second, JT has been nothing but a true professional for his whole career. I'm sure he understands it's a business and won't leave solely because Snow gets the ax. If he does then screw him he needs to go.

This whole thing has gotten ridiculous. JT needs to announce his intentions soon. He's had a lot of time to think about this. At this point he's being unfair to the organization and the fans. I can respect his decision if he decides to walk, but make up your mind already.

Just leave him to his miserable life of being a coffee barista for the next 50 years because he can't get another job.

I agree with this. I think JT for a long time was in Garth’s corner, but this last trade deadline probably turned of JT for good. I also agree it’s time for JT to make a decision.

If it turned him off then why did he say he had trust in both Weight and Snow to make the team successful yesterday? Seriously he didn't have to volunteer how wonderful he thought they were yesterday or the numerous other times he did.

I just think he's chicken poop and didn't want to answer any questions. So he hightailed it out of there.

None of these clowns has ever been asked a hard question by anyone covering this team. Why would he expect to get one now?

At this stage I do not put stock in anything JT says and especially anything to do with praising Garth.

Especially with Gross and Staple being the only ones there.

I don’t want him as GM either. But guaranteeing a JT return if the keep Snow May be enticing to an owner. So I could see keeping him under those circumstances

Of course it's ridiculous. It's the Islanders. The only reason this situation exists is because L&M are douchebag, chicken-shit, gutless pukes. They gave JT this power & control over the situation. Fuck JT! Trade his ass, fire Snow and the coaches and move on. I'd gladly take another rebuild (especially with the pieces we already have in place) over even 1 more month of Snow.

100%

The idiot is in the process of signing Koskinen as we speak so that tells you he's back next season unless Ledecky is a bigger moron than we suspected.

Oh, don't you worry. Ledecky is a much bigger moron than we give him credit for.
