What happens when Tavares leaves? Does anyone here truly think he will stay?
If YOU were Tavares would YOU want to stay?

My new theory ( ) is that Ledecky was pissed with Snow and Weight "assuming" that all is well and they'd be back next year then leaking/telling the press that. I can totally envision Snow arrogantly telling the press that without getting Ledecky's and Malkin' s approval first. |

Now they're going to start evaluating. Where the hell has this green toothed imbecile been for the last 4 miserable months? Under a rock? |

Tavares will leave and no one can blame him. The only chance the Islanders have is if they do something shocking. Make a trade that will blow everyone away and elevates your team for next season. If that happens, Tavares may stay. The problem is Garth Snow is NOT the man to do that and never has been. |

4 months? They've been in the picture for going on four years. Evaluate what? What else is there for kedecky to see? The entire NHL and world has evaluated Snow on everything including his job performance and record which is the only thing that matters in professional sports and Ledecky is being laughed at by the world. Ledecky knows That, we saw it yesterday. The only question that remains is will he do what's right or will he continue to be the village idiot? |

Continue being the village idiot. He's a gutless puke and won't fire Snow. It'll be some other excuse, like, "we decided to give him a chance to finish what he started". It's so f ucking stupid. |

I know you're kidding but if you look at Ledeckys body language, (not looking to his left much, if at all) he doesn't seem too happy with these two. Plus, why did he leave the podium? It's almost like he is saying, "You two are truly responsible for this mess, YOU answer their questions." |

I just think he's chicken poop and didn't want to answer any questions. So he hightailed it out of there. |

I got the same feeling that Ledecky was not happy with Garth and Doug. It could be just an act and Garth and Doug could both return, but it was a very strange way to act if Garth and Doug have the confidence of the owner. |

I mean, if he's that much of a #$%&, he could have just sat there and said "we have full confidence in Garth and Doug to turn this around." He didn't. In fact, he looked to me like he didn't want to even sit next to Snowjob. |

Unlike the Rangers and Devils, I don't hate your team. In fact, I feel for you guys. Your owner seems to be a total douchebag that only cares about the bottom line and you are stuck with a crappy GM and a coach who is in over his head. I hope JT stays, but I wouldn't bet on it or blame him for leaving.
I miss the days when both our clubs were good and it was great rivalry. Even though I hated you mofos in the late 70s/early 80s, I always respected that team and I always had a soft spot for Kenny Morrow for being on the 1980 Olympic team.

Fire Snow - not going to happen
Trade one of your lotto picks plus for Trouba. - not going to happen because Snow
doesn't make trades like that
Trade for a goalie - Meh, too many puppies for Snow to play with to pull that off
Tavares re-signs - possible, but not likely
Profit - *sad trombone* - Iggysbff

Wish we would have thought of that. Everything hinges on Snow getting blasted into a mine shaft. If he stays (which I'm 95% certain he will), nothing will change. His delusion is that this team can compete for a cup. Therefore, why change anything. |

If that's the case, what is he waiting for? You'd think he would have just fired them both right after game 82 and been done with it. I mean come on, he needs more time to evaluate them?? Ridiculous.

Yeah, well, not much will change with ass-jockey Snow in charge. They were great games back then. |

As much as I would love to have him, negotiating with Overhardt for his contract would likely prove to be a nightmare and if Snow trades a lotto pick for an RFA that then refuses to sign...hooooo boy. The pitchforks and torches are coming out. |

That's our owners. Going full on ostrich. There's nothing to evaluate. |
