Oh, don't you worry. Ledecky is a much bigger moron than we give him credit for.

Typically we are hanging off the edge wondering where the next blog is coming from.

Maybe Koskinen can sneak Sorokin in his suitcase?

have to think this is for bport... with no goalies there under contract...also garth making moves...job looks pretty stable to me

There is no chance that Koskinen is leaving the KHL to be an AHL starter

This was my thought about the signing. These are not major moves so I still hold out small hope Garth will be replaced.

As unfathomable as it is, it is looking more likely that Snow is staying everyday. it's mindbogglingly stupid that he's still the GM right now.

Could not agree more. He should be gone already. I'm holding out small hope Ledecky is not going to want to bring back Garth after saying they are evaluating. The backlash will be even worse now after giving small hope Garth might not be back. Better off for Ledecky if he already announced Garth is coming back. Would have been like ripping off a band-aid.

This goes right in the "Zidlicky and Seidenberg are going to be great 7th defenseman" category.

he could get a really good deal that pays well in bport. their is no way in hell he should be handed a nhl roster spot

if greiss and koskinen are our goalies then we are already in the Jack Hughes hunt for 2019

Maybe not, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I can't imagine he's going to go even further away from home to make less money. What do the top-pay AHL guys even get? 500k? Not that that's not a good living, but he's gotta be making at least $2M in the KHL and that's a pretty big pay-cut...plus you gotta ride the bus.

Yep so we're in the usual spot. Completely plausible that Snow overpays and annoints koskinen our new starter. I'm not saying it's right but it's such a Snow move. Overpaying Cizikas and anointing him a 3rd line center when there's been nothing to warrant such a promotion. Plenty of examples Snow is (frank)ing nut bag. I'll say that 99% of the players most on here expected to be Bridgeport bound wound up being NHL regulars inexplicably and that had zero to do with their play.

Agreed Chief.

I think the average salary in the AHL is $90,000 to $100,000.

The minimum salary is ~ $45,000.

Yeah that's probably average, but there are plenty of guys that make a lot more. My buddy plays in the AHL and, according to CapFriendly, he's raking in $225k. There's guys on his team that make over $300k too.

So I have to imagine that the highest paid AHL'ers are somewhere in the $400k-$500k range. Still seems like a big step down from what he's making in the KHL.

Yup, old habits die hard. Always hated the Flyers dating back to the Bullies of the 70s, then the 80s teams with Dave Brown. But now the only player they have worth hating is Gudas, so I'll just ignore it when he runs Crosby....

Always! Hopefully, Mike Milbury will get to read a Breaking News bulletin that Snow has been canned.
