I would like to see (eventually)
9-53
6-Myers
As a top 4. I think Myers could be there, a lot sooner than people think. Read that people in the org really like his game, say hes further along than Sanheim was last year. - VladDrag
I think he has been making the subtle plays a bit better than Sanheim was this year, but Sanheim affected the game more offensively. So in that regard, I can see him coming up and sticking a bit better. I think a Morin/Sanheim pair or a Sanheim/Myers pair would be pretty nice. I suspect it will start as
9-53
6-47
5-3 |

I think it does but the cost might be too high. Why not give Laughton a bigger bite and maybe sign a legit 4th line PK center fairly cheap. - MJL
Do you think Laughton can carry the mail as a 3C? They are currently not using him on the pk I believe. For my money he doesn’t win enough battles, he doesn’t setup enough plays. He has looked like a 4th liner all year. |

Good morning, my cheesesteak-snarfing friends.
Just wondering: who are you fellas hoping to meet in the first round?
It's going to be a wild final weekend for the Metro division.
IMHO, you should be hoping for Washington. - Atomic Wedgie
I don’t care as long as they get in.
I don’t see any good match ups, but NJ first, then WA and then Boston would be my choice.
Pitt and Tampa will eat the Flyers on the PP/PK matchup, which will be their downfall vs the Caps too. Would love to watch Flyers Leafs although no way that can happen, just because it would be fun to watch.

Washington is 100% right. The other teams will skate us out of the building |

Thoughts on Statsny if he could take a cut from his 7M - arichardson22
I think he'll still be too expensive.

I hope you are right. I would use the word cautious how the organization gives prospects increasing responsibilities. If Myers can have a strong playoff run, I think it helps his chances of making the roster. I wonder with the top 6 forwards being set for next season and with some of the forward money on the cap coming off, they spend a little money on the blue line. Pure speculation on my part. - ravishingone
I dont think Myers starts the season with the club, need to move either gudas or amac for that to happen imo.

I want Laughton to take the next step but he is usually a 4th line C and at his best a 3C. To take the next step, the Flyers will need a legit 3C |

Thats been my read on him as well. But hes also been given more room to free wheel, perhaps because hes presents himself as a little more well rounded.

I think Vorobyev could be that guy. He has the size and brings a solid offensive game but also isn't a defensive liability.

This would be great.
I think Morin would be up in the NHL now if he didn’t get hurt, and maybe that we’d even get to see Myers by this point too for a few games if he was healthy and the play off race wasn’t so tight.
Oh well, next season for sure. |

I think he can play in the top 9. In the end, I think he his best spot might be a LW, has a ridiculous shot and great wheels, but doesnt generate enough space to use it.
But, I do think he can play 12-15mins a night as 3c.

The biggest issue is him staying healthy. He’s injured again. Have no idea the seriousness |

He sees the ice really well and has good size. I watched some Phantoms games and him and Wilcox stick out to me. Not guys that get a lot of mention but seem like guys that can be NHL players. Guys that can fill a bottom 6 role and 3rd pairing defense. |

We can disagree on Wilcox, but I do see a guy that can be an NHL 3rd pairing dman. He is 6'3, right handed and skates well for his size. Wont be an offensive guy put will kill penalties and be a solid stay at home guy.

I'd rather see the Flyers promote from within then get into a UFA contract and overpay. I believe with the state of the PK that they could use a legitimate PK specialist who can also skate a regular shift on the 4th line. They need some moxie on the PK.

Antoine Roussel 28
Kyle Brodziak 33
Jay Beagle 32
Not young guys but character guys that kill penalties and play a legit 4th line center role except Roussel whose a winger. |

I wouldn't like the Flyers chances against Boston at all. I think they're the best team in the East.
