I will check with my Bruins stats man and see if I can get the numbers. I really would like to know either way. That is not an easy stat to locate on any site. - joegreif17

I'd bet it isn't. - MJL
Would you have believed the flyers power play units without Giroux have been outscored this year while on the power play? |

Raffl seemed like he had one goal in mind: "Get to the net and let these two get the puck there."
I'm not knocking him, it's not a bad idea. He's very strong, and he can establish position well. - jmatchett383
Using Raffl on the top line for a few shifts here and there to set a tone is fine. Hell, Shero used to put Schultz with Clarke and Barber once in a while for the same reason. However moving him back to the top line and just leaving him there for any length of time is just asinine. |

Agreed and Schultz was also a pretty underrated scorer. Also old time hockey existed and who would not have wanted Schultz riding shotgun, lol

True that. Clarke knew that was one shift where he wasn’t gonna get touched, lol |

The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout (a.k.a ROW - Regulation+Overtime wins). Right now our ROW is tied with the panthers. But should they win their next two games (at least 1 in regulation) they would surpass us on the tiebreaker. It's why we need 1 point to clinch our spot. If we get 1 more point then it won't matter what they do we'd win on points and the tiebreaker won't be needed.
EDIT: After ROW would be the greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. But I doubt we get there.
If they lose in regulation or overtime in their next 2 games we get our 1 point and we go in. - FlyersGrace
Thanks for the detailed clarification. Much appreciated!!👍

Yep and Gretzky was simply the greatest in his day but without Semenko as his personal body guard Wayne would have been smashed up pretty bad. I used to get a kick out of the other rat, not Brad but Ken Linesman who would stir up the pot and then let the big boys move in and settle the score, haha I liked him because he was a Flyer but he was a piece of poop the way he played, just like Marchand without the skill. |

Yeah, I was meh on Linseman mainly because he just took way too many stupid penalties, but no doubt, if not for Paul Holmgren, he would of been dead before his 23rd birthday. |

How so? Flyers are 1-2 vs Florida this year - Doctor DOOM
So this was in Bill's blog a few days ago.
Points earned is based on h2h matchup in an even number of games. Must be an even number. If it is an odd number of games, the first home game for the team with the greater amount of home games is tossed.
So they're 1-2 overall: the Flyers won in phila but lost twice in Florida. But for the tiebreaker, since it's an odd number of games, the first home game for the team with the most home games in the season series gets tossed out to even the field. This helps the flyers obvs since they lost that game. The tiebreaker is even at 1-1. Strange, but justified in taking away what is basically home ice advantage in a tiebreaker.
For clarity's sake, if they flyers and Panthers played 4 times (or 2 or 6...) and played an even split of home/away games (1 and 1, 2 and 2, etc) no game results would be thrown out. |

3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing. |

While it would be extremely rare have such a tie, I'm glad they'd settle it with real hockey and not a gimmick. |
