I would think that he’d excel at some type of area in the NHL if your suggesting he can “play”

It’s obvious, much like vinny showed years ago, he cannot “play” at this level.

Now if he’s a living and breathing organism skating around in an orange flyers jersey with the other players maybe he can “play”. If that’s your definition

He is a 13th forward on this team. If you expect him to excel in any area than the expectations are the issue. I have no issue with the Flyers using veteran players as stopgaps while they try and develop and upgrade the teams talent. Far too much is made of that. It's temporary.

filpulla played well st the beginning of thr srsosn, but the last handful of gamrs have been downright awful for him

weise has been better than last year, but thats such a low bar. still pretty bad

lehtera has been a nightmare. what happened to him?

weal has lookes much better of lste i think hr was just really struggling through his injuries. same with patrick

and unpopular opinion but i truly dont think Hagg has played well at all. Hes a younger MacDaddy with worse possesion stats

yeah but its a contrubuting factor to why we lose games. giveaways by hagg and sanheim, out of position, chasing thr puck...those breakdowns lead to goals and losses but im okay with that

in regards to the forwards, the only ones playing worse than i expected are flip and simmer...the others we're getting what we signed up for

What were the Devils and Knights expected to be? Were they expected to be leading their Divisions? It's ok to exceed expectations.

The 10 game losing streak wasn't a surprise? Going through the motions and getting embarrassed by the two worst teams in the NHL isn't a surprise?

And it's usually games like last night that'll have that bubble burst.

The Flyers are still just lacking the overall skill to be a top team right now, is what it is.

Their 2C would be a 4C on a Cup squad and the guy they pair with Provorov on the top pair would be a 4/5 guy. They only have 2 wingers, G & Jake that belong in a contenders top 6 too and their #1 goalie lets in too many bad angle goals to backstop a contender.

On the bright side, guys like Patrick, Sanheim and Konecny are only going to get better and a lot of very good talent is in the system. And 2 more 1st round picks are coming this Spring

Just gotta hang in there. I still think this team is only going to get better and better over the next few years.

The next big question is: Is Hak the guy who should be coaching that team? Personally, I'm not sold, but I'm willing to give him a little more time.

Giroux is 6th in points as top line LW, Couturier is 33rd in points and is out top line C, Provorov is anchoring our top D pair and Ghost another quarterbacks the PP and is 3rd among scoring dmen. Hagg is having a great year and Sanheim is doing well as well on the 3rd pair.

Patrick and Konecny are guys who need time to adjust to NHL play. It took Couturier 8 years to break out.

Voracek is a 1st round pick by CBJ and leads the team in points for 5th in the NHL.

So yea I guess the first round picks on this team are doing nothing....

No it isnt. Fillpula is a 3rd line Center. That is what he was in Tampa. That being said he wasnt added to be a #2 C. He was here so we could get a draft pick for the future and he will not be resigned. He is just the best available option at the moment. Patrick is not ready.

Tampa was a year ago and he was a borderline 3C then. It's a young man's league and he's aging fast. Yeah, on most teams he's a 3C, but on the very best, he's centering the 4th line.
