Losses to Arizona and Buffalo along with a 10 game losing streak.
Currently sitting in last place in the Metro.
Can't wait to see what they do for an encore. |

I know the team turned it around a bit after switching the lines around but I really don't like Simmonds with Giroux and Coots. I'd rather see Voracek back with them.
I know Patrick is starting to pick it up a bit so is may not be a good idea to change up his line right now but I really would like to see him with more skilled wingers and I know he is just a place holder but honestly I am growing tired of Filppula a bit.
Giroux-Coots-Voracek
Weal-Patrick-Simmonds
Raffl-Filppula-TK
Leier-Laughton-Weise
Honestly I don't think there is a lineup that I look at any 4 lines that I am 100% happy with. I really look forward to the next group of prospects inserted into the lineup. |

I'd give a $200 Amex gift card to know Hextall's genuine thoughts on the effort from the Flyers last night. A "playoff team" would at least get a point out of a game like that. |

I agree that Simmonds hasn't clicked with those two but in my opinion they have to leave Voracek on another line. Need to have some scoring depth through the lineup. |

They should try TK on the top line. |

The Flyers played like a team that thinks they're a good team and all they had to do was show up against a team like Buffalo. They were a step or two late to every puck. Outnumbered many times on the puck. Puck management was atrocious. Many times a player was left unguarded in the slot for a high percentage chance while the Flyers around him watched. Comes down to leadership in my opinion.

Does Simmonds ever really click with anyone though? I feel like he just needs to be on a line with two guys who can get the puck to the net.
Honestly, and nothing against Simmonds, but the longer this team struggles the more likely I see Simmonds dealt this off-season. |

He keeps up this kind of play we might be able to resign him after all to play in the bottom 6. You’re right in that he continually stifles offense through the neutral zone |

I was watching at a bar last night with the sound off.
I almost lost my mind at the end when Ghost didn't put any effort in to retrieve the puck during the last empty net goal.
Was anything said about it in the post game? |

As I've said before I am so torn about this. I like Simmonds and what he brings but the thought of signing a 31 yo player like Simmonds to a long term deal at the cost he is going to command has me really leery. 5 goals in his first 5 games and 6 in the last 30 and hasn't a few been ENGs? he just doesn't seem like himself. Of course that doesn't mean he won't bounce back but I just worry about it becoming a bad contract while they have done a good job getting out from under some bad contracts. If they could get a Richards like trade do you pass it up? I will admit seeing him in another jersey makes me cringe |

I can prob get to a point this year if the flyers are out of it being ok with simmer leaving to a western team so he can chase a cup. With a 1st coming back I can stomach it.
Even with his even strength troubles he brings a lot to this team so I don’t envision this. |

Classic 55 minutes of trash followed by the "oh wait there is a game tonight " final 5 minutes.
It's embarrassing how you can almost set your watch to a lousy performance to see bottom feeder season after season |

I kind of noticed that too. I don’t think he would of gotten close to him, but the optics were terrible.

He deserves to be a Flyer for life but also deserves a shot at a Cup. It hurts but a lot of teams could use/need a Simmonds on their team. And pay a nice price to aquire him. |

Why is it always Flyers going elsewhere to win their Cups, instead of other teams players coming to Philadelphia to win their Cup? It's getting old. |

I would hate to see him move....but he has declined this year...is it another case of what Giroux went through? Then there’s his age.....do you sell high ? I’ve also seen the Flyers think a player was done and move on....ie Jagr and Recchi....just to be proven wrong. So yo do take a chance by moving him. He just brings so much to this team that they lack from others....it’s a dangerous trade.
