Oh sure it is. Price is generational. Tavares is fantastic but in a group of excellent players. Price stands alone as the league's top Goalie.

Mr. Generational is 51st in save percentage and 50th in GAA this year. He's a good goalie but looks like the decline is happening sooner than later. MTL would have to retain salary at this point if they're looking to move him.

Price in two years is going to be one of, if not the worst contract in the NHL, IMO.

Not to mention they will then have 34 YO Shea Weber making 7.8MM a year for another 5 years.
