The thing is...individually the players are EXTREMELY fast. They're just not doing it as a team. Not good support on the forcheck. Too much gliding in the D zone. Passes aren't tape to tape. They have the players, but they're not playing together.

I get what you're saying and it's largely correct. However.... Even individual races we're not winning those races. Guntzal, Sid, Rust, Letang.....all the best skaters aren't winning one on one races....(Sid has been better lately). Therefore we don't beat anybody to the puck. Like never. I don't know how JR fixes that. Honestly, I don't think he can.

They're chasing in their own zone and covering for players that are out of place. Plus, with the amount of turnovers and bobbled pucks/passes no one is leaving the zone with speed. It's causing a lot of stutter steps. It's the team as a whole. They're just not crisp. They don't seem to be on the same page.

I have to wonder how much of it has to do with constant line juggling too.
