Jarry's GAA is close to 4. They need to look elsewhere right now.
Team has played poor defense in general, especially in these B2Bs, but they need to upgrade back-up goalie now. Like madmike's been saying, plenty of blame to go around. |

4 is better than 8? Neimis save % actually managed to go down after tonight...below .800 now...pickard was a missed opportunity for sure. |

I was worried but we were so spoiled with how amazing maf and mur played for us. We really forgot what real bad goaltending looked like. I was never one that threw maf under the bus. He made "the saves". The ones needed to flip games etc. I was hopeful neimi would be better with a team in front of him. But he isn't. Chicago pulled the plug on this man after winning a cup...so there had to have been a reason. San Jose pulled the plug on him and they promptly run their way to the finals. This guy is done..hasta neimi....go home. - taleisyreXIII
Pickard didntclear waivers, i would assume t.o. had priority, he would b perfect |

...and as I was talking about Rust and Guentzel, they combined for the lone goal - Barnaby36
Lol. Guentzel looked pretty good most of the game. The other two not so much. |

Is the next prospect after Jarry in the AHL yet? - eNDSo
Assuming you meant Gustavsson, then no, and he had a bad year in Europe last year anyways.
The back-up, DeSmith, actually has great career numbers though he doesn't have the pedigree or any buzz around him. |

Sheahan is really good at shot suppression...and he's a better skater than Bonino. (atleast faster, as Bonino was fairly agile). Give him wingers and it takes some of the shutdown responsibility away from Sid.
Guentzel, Sid, Sheary
Rust, Malkin, Phil (although I'd rather Phil drop to third line)
Hags, Sheahan, Hornquist
Knuckles, McKegg, Reaves.
Much more comfortable with those players. Esp the third line's shut down ability. |

Hell!!! Trade Horny and a pick for Galchenyuk... What more can Sprong prove. Screw defense...we don't play it anyway. 3 lines of O and one defensive 4th line. |

Niemi sucks but Murray is 34th in the league in GAA as well. This team has some issues besides goaltending. One of the easiest fixes would be to stop leading the league in penalties and stay out of the box. The guy wearing the C needs lead by example on this one. |

I think the forwards lack of effort on the backcheck is our biggest problem. Plus teams are getting behind our D with regularity and a good part of that problem is the lack of awareness from the forwards......nobody is covering when the D pinches. We gave up a 2 on 0 while on the PP.....that's hard to do.
A lot of these little slashes are symptom of a team that's chasing all the time. There's zero detail in their game during these b2b's. |

Picard did so clear waivers but the next day they made a trade. The Leafs probably didn't just grab him because they are close to 50 contracts |

The final was 3-2 baby Pens and ended in a shootout. Not sure your facts add up. |

Geez I realize hindsight is 20/20 but taking a flyer on Subban when he was on waivers would of looked pretty clever right about now...... |
