Good trade. Low risk with possible moderately high reward.

Wow, just saw this. Good deal for both teams. I like Wilson, but we have all the depth we need on wing.

Yeah I don't like seeing him go but the fact is he wasn't playing... But probably should of over others... Either way, C was a need.

That's a good trade. Wilson is a good option to have on your fourth line and can play up the line up a bit, but he's highly replaceable. There's also people behind him on the depth chart that need chances like ZAR and Simon. I'm optimistic on Sheahan on the Pens and we acquired him for pretty much nothing. It will also be nice to see Rowney out of the regular lineup.

Rutherford probably isn't done. It'd be awesome to get Glach too, but no longer necessary.

It's also worth noting that Sheahan can also play wing. If we do get another center, we can move Sheahan to 4LW and keep McKegg as center. Its an option if McKegg continues to play well. Sheahan can probably do Kuhnhackl's job but better, and can continue to take draws on the PK if the 3C we acquire isn't a penalty killer.

I think Sheahan is gonna Bonino'ish. Great on draws, D and PK...but not fast (maybe faster than bones though) and not overly offensive.

Having said all of that, you never know what a fresh start might do for someone. Could start producing well.

So who gets pushed out of the lineup? Kuhn, Rownie? Not going to be Reaves.

Rowney for now. Great depth player, but not for long periods.

Couldn't agree more. He's getting 4th line duties with the Wings with no wingers. He was one of the most "unlucky" players of all time last year. I think he'll fit in nicely.

Hell, advanced stats (for what they're worth) show that he's better at shot suppression than Bonino.

I like that we're getting a bigger centre, as long as he doesnt have stone feet. Having speed on his wings will open up some space, may allow him to start bringing in the points. Its tough to find centres for a good price. Good on JR

Sparknotes: Speedy, 4th line scoring winger with some fire and scrappiness to him.

Some games he'll be all over the ice, and others he's completely invisible. Good guy to have on your fourth line, but way to inconsistent to play in the top 9 with any regularity.

For a while he looked like he could have been Kunitz's replacement (similar straight ahead style and shot). However, he's not consistent enough and his hands aren't quite as good. Most likely a 3rd line scoring winger at best.

He's good enough that he should be an every night NHL regular, we're just super deep and Sully doesn't always make the best personnel decisions when it comes to the 4th line and the D pairings. You'll like him as long as you're not expecting a top 6 winger. Exactly the kind of depth guy Cup teams should have in their bottom 6.

He's never really a liability. I think that he's a guy who can turn into a 10-15 goal scorer. But, he's at least adds an offensive element to a 4th line. Good player even if he doesn't do any one thing tremendously.

I hope this game is as entertaining as the last one. Although, that 5-4 win was a lot closer than I would have liked. The Pens have a habit of making me drink bourbon when I watch the Lightning play them. Almost always either a blowout in favor of the Pens, or a nailbiter for the Bolts.

Two entertaining teams. TB is definitely a favorite this season to win the Cup.

I don't think Wilson is a pressbox guy on the Wings. But then again you guys seem deadset on playing Glendening so he might get unfairly scratched.

He will always be remembered as an integral part of the WB5 that turned our season around in '16.

He can move up a line or two and not embarrass himself if you need injury replacements. The Pens expected a little more goal scoring out of him considering he did pretty well in the AHL. When our young guys moved up, most people thought he'd be the better goal scorer out of those kids. It just didn't materialize.

Looks like we got a 5th back too.

well yeah (Wilson, Booth, Witkowski, Glendening, (another skater with AA back)
those are the 4th line guys. Sheahan was there in that 4th line mix. Now AA has pushed another guy out.

Anyway, thanks for the insight!

Are you implying FoF 'shouldn't' be on our 4th line?
