Hard to believe Shatty wasn’t aware of the hand pass. Also, with Nash playing well, they should look to trade him. Not capable of more minutes. Only a matter of time before he breaks down and spends time on IR |

Wow, how longs Buch been in the dog house? 5 minutes, that's crazy unless he's really poop the bed! |

I really like McD. I feel bad for the dude. And frankly have a ton of respect that he could sit there after the game, look the cameras and reporters in the eye and take full responsibility for a bad play. And not just say it was a bad play, but actually expound on why it was bad and what he should have done. I totally get your guys’ frustration. Not saying makes up for it. Just as a third party, still seems like a good leader to me.

That ice time list Jan posted is unbelievable. AV is clueless with what to do with this lineup. |

Looks like the AV train will be leaving Rangerstown shortly and expressing to Crapsville. Brutal loss. I like AV but he doesn't look like he has answers. |

I’d have to see total ice time because we did have a ton of PP time but still |

At this point, I don't think any coach would have the answers. The last 2 goals were such bone headed plays. Never should have been made at the NHL level. |

Jan highlighting the 5v5 toi doesn't give the right picture imo. Even strenght toi would give a better understanding of AV's personell dispositions imo.
Not sure who this @ryanohan is, but I always use NHL's own stats for the game:

Very smart by Sid. Very good by Kessel. Not so good by the Rangers.

Like many others I’m beginning to questions whether AV has any idea what he’s doing. What is the point of having Buch on the 4th line? |

Look at the EV strength, that’s 5v5 for the most part unless matching minors and 4v4. Even if include Buch PPTOI, he is still below 10 minutes of total ice time. |

My only concern with firing AV is who's available? Ruff as the head coach i'm not sold on.. maybe Iron Mike will come back? |

Nash goes from playing 3 minutes less than Fast to playing like a minute more though. I think ES would be a better indicator of ice time moving forward over 5v5. |

I completely agree but we both know this is the sort of situation where a lot of coaches hit the end of the line.
Something's gotta change. The choices look like get a new coach, make a trade or pound the goo out of the Islanders and shake it off. But being kinda of a win now team something's gotta give. |

My biggest take away from the game last night was the Rags are a bunch of losers as usual!!! KIDDING! I kid...
In all seriousness, your team has new faces with old faces taking on new roles. It's going to take a minute for everything to gel. While the Center position will probably hold you back from going deep in the playoffs, you can see the real issue is timing.
Your guys are just not on the same page which you can see with the missed passes, sloppy transitions, etc...
Philly and NJ's current overachieving will settle and I have no doubt you guys will be right up in the hunt for the WC spot. I also don't mean WC as a knock, because I expect the Pens to be finishing 3rd or 2nd this year. |

yeah, I posted Buch's 9:47 toi yesterday...
But if you look at Nash's, Fast's and Zuke's toi (amongst others) in your blog - the real even strenght toi gives an other picture than yours...
Like for instance when RD is shocked that Fast was getting 3 more mins 5v5 toi than Nash and the real #'s are that Nash played 13:32 even strenght mins compared to Fast's 12:33... |
