Weber is big and immobile, not to mention that he doesn't hold a candle to Karlsson's puck distribution skills or offensive IQ. Not knocking Weber or the Rangers here, just saying that Karlsson is on another level in nearly every aspect except his slapshot.

Hence "completely different player" you imbecile.

Hank's glove hand was taped yesterday, can't remember if he does that or it had to do with the Weber shot in game 6, looked like it stung

Yeah, looked like he got it right in the palm. I'm sure he is fine.

It was more about the coaches coming up with a plan to limit Weber's shot. Obviously Karlsson will be way more difficult to contain, but I'm sure coaching is working on that plan as soon as Ottawa eliminated the Bruins.

Uhhhhhhhh....

Erik Karlsson Norris Nominations: 4

Erik Karlsson Norris Wins: 2

Norris nominations, entire current New York Rangers defence corps: 1

Norris wins, entire New York Rangers defence corps: 0

Therefore:

Erik Karlsson > Entire NYR defence corps combined.

I'm gonna enjoy our conversations over the next week or so, budday, provided I don't kill myself first, fwend. It's cold and damp up here, guy, and we really need this more than you. At least you have Broadway and Daily Show tapings to keep you entertained when the season ends. We've got nothing other than Canadian football left once this is over.

Erik Karlsson has been completely shut down in one playoff series his entire career, name the team who did it

EK is a great player. Perhaps one of the best in the generation. In second round of the playoffs, however, teams usually have great players. So, I say this with all due respect, EK can suck my balls ... Mr. Garrison.

2009-10

if that Sens fan can come in here and boast that Karlsson won the Norris in 2012, why can't I boast that the Rangers held him to one point in the 7 game playoff series they had.

Congrats, you shut down a 21 year old d man in his second playoff series ever. And we still took you to seven games when you were able to do that.

If you think that's happening to a fully healthy prime aged version of the guy, I shall enjoy looking at the expression on your face. Since that series, he is the top point per game player among all NHL dmen in the playoffs, ahead of Keith, Letang, Weber, Doughty, Subban or anyone else.

We Sens fans really can't say this enough, given no one ever believes it until they watch him play more than 3 games in a row (see the Boston threads from last round to see what you'll be saying in a week's time...) - he is now the best defenceman in the league and there's been no one better than him in the league since Bobby Orr. Now that he's fully healthy and will have full speed and mobility for this series, you won't know what hit you.

. Oh boy...here we go.

A) the rangers aren't Boston. They had two players basically, everyone else was hurt
B) Karlsson is not some no name, you don't think the rangers will key in him?
C) no respect to the rangers either. Playoff pedigree more then any team around right now
D) he has a broken heel
E) suck my balls

he had 6 points in 6 games in his 2010 playoff series too

in fact, he's been pretty much a point a game in every playoff series he'd ever played in

except one time. Just imagine if he actually showed up in that series in 2012, maybe the Sens would have won.

Everything is going to be o.k. The Rangers just need to make him cross-over from left to right, rather than right to left, and everything will be fine.

Series is going to be fun, with Ottawa having God suiting up for them and all.

There was a guy that played for Detroit a few years back that won 4 Stanley Cups, 7 Norris Trophies, and a Conn Smythe Trophy. That guy was pretty good.

Not one of the best, THE best. Not just great, the greatest.....learn it quick before he makes you do it himself.

As for your vinegary bahls, he'll be too far away from NYC in the conference finals to do that by the time this is all said and done, I don't care how big you think your balls are, Stanley...
