ESPN did it to themselves. I haven't watched it in about 10 years.

Well folks, as you can tell by my new Twitter handle, I was also among the cuts today at ESPN.

Isn't TSN an ESPN affiliate? Regardless, still a tall order to pick up your family and move to another country (ok, barely another country..but still)

Joe McDonald laid off too

- eichiefs9

Idk, I wish I was able to get TSN.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see anyone get axed. If LeBrun wasn't safe then I would expect that Melrose & Buccigross aren't either.

It's such a terrible channel now anyway. I rarely put it on, often only by mistake.

Yeah, seems like he still has plenty of work.

Want to thank http://ESPN.com for 9 fun years. Absolutely loved the gig. And very much look forward to continuing my work at TSN/RDS

I'd pay for that over HBO or anything. Hockey coverage the way our channels cover football...sign me up.

He's made it public that his contract is expiring soon. Personally, not a fan.

I don't love his hockey coverage either, still would suck to see someone get canned. Not saying you're implying the opposite.

Until Game of Thrones ends, I'm clutch my HBO until I'm lifeless.

Were left 5 minutes in the Levy Lounge

Francesca has been saying for awhile that you can buy cable without ESPN part of the package. But that's probably what killed them. But like Matt just said, I watch very rarely and usually it's football related. They can stick to shoving basketball down other people's throats all day everyday all year

I mean yeah, I don't want him on the bread lines. Just think he's not very good, other than the Bucci overtime challenge. People go crazy for that.

back in the 90's ESPN was the best, sportscenter was funny, they had hockey on all the time, now it's an irrelevant channel

I used to get ESPN magazine back in the 90's. Whether it was the beginning of the season or the playoffs they would devote 2-3 pages to hockey and the rest would be basketball, football, bowling, squash, etc.

I think the 30 for 30s are great, and I watch their NFL and college game day coverage, but that is about it. And games on the channel, of course.

NBC sports does a very good job with the NHL coverage. Its just the commentators that make you want to drown a sack of kittens.
