This pic came up as my facebook memory today, the morning after the Game 7 win vs Ottawa 5 years ago. Prelude to another series win vs the Sens?

After the Stepan incident I lost all respect, but as a Ranger he def was a fan favorite. Just too ridiculous a contract to match for a guy with his little skill. He's only 33/34, would think he could still catch on with someone, but last I heard he was languishing in the Leafs system in the minors.

Totally agree. Fun to watch play, no doubt he brought energy with every shift, but that was it. Chased the money and got a nice contract.
Definitely a cheap shot on Step.

I think it was a result of Torts benching Richards vs Boston

I don't blame him for that, he was a UFA & Montreal decided that had to have him at all costs & put out a crazy bid that the Rangers or anyone else was not gonna match. He was I guess about 28 then, so he knew that was gonna be his only opportunity to ever truly "cash in" in this league. Hope he saved his loot.

Now I understand the swagger.
Looks like he might have career options after the NHL.

Not many guys would turn down that kind of dough. Wanted him back, but Sather made the right move for a change. Was that the same year we lost Dorsett?

Nice job Jan. Guy Boucher seems to be that coach in circulation that can get any team to believe in his defensive minded system in order to achieve success.

No, we didn't even have Dorset yet. That trade was the next year, lockout shortened 2013 trade deadline deal. We had DD for rest of that yr & the next, trading him in the summer of 2014. Cause that was when we signed Glass.

Chicks talk a good game about wanting a "massive man", but I gotta think anything over 10' has got to cause some serious pain & damage. There's only so much room up in that thang.

This may be the single most ridiculous thing ever on the internet & that's saying something. Scary part is you can tell he's totally serious.

A lot of people thought it was just a joke, but then people started digging through his comment history and he might actually be insane.

"No disrespect to the Preds...."

shits all over the Preds
