Actually tonight was his 49th game. He missed 5 games. Erie has 10 games remaining in the regular season.

If Uncle John and Rocky step in then everything is fair game, Gotta believe Toews is in their ears also.
I'm laughing at the Trade Crawford stuff, the guy has won 2cups, ya gonna turn over the net to a kid who has never played more than 35 games a season , yes he is a good feel good story, but with a team built to win now, you trade Crawford by next year at this time your looking for a goalie.
Darling is a guy you deal at the deadline , strike while the iron is hot on him.

I actually liked the acquisitions that Bowman
made last year. Unfortunately, Quenneville didn't, and he stapled them to the bench or gave them limited minutes. When you get in his doghouse, it's tough getting ice time...ie...Leddy, Trevor Daley, Gus, Vermette, TT, etc. Yet, guys like Carcillo, Mashinter, Versteeg, and Handzus never or rarely felt the wrath. Very questionable coaching and decision making IMO.
I agree that the Cup window is shrinking and hope that he can acquire somebody that will be here for a few years....ie Duchene.

Weiss has had 6pts in his last 61gms.

Vermette came over and had 3a in 19gms with Chicago. Sucked

Fleischman out of the league

Gustafson is a horrible mouth breather

It's all Q's fault

And Q and the hawks made Leddy a very rich overpaid player

TT played on the PP, PK, all 3 forward positions. Not really sure Q "held him back"

I still really really like Motte. I see him coming back and holding down a spot on the hawks or another NHL team.

Looking at every offseason since our first cup, is it really that hard to understand the Crawford talk? It all comes down to money and the cap. I really don't think many WANT to trade Crow, but it may be a necessity that can return assets. Not to mention the Bowmans are known to not be shy about moving on from goalies.

Bet you weren't saying that when Vermette scored two goals in the finals in 2015. Or that game winner against the ducks...

He was very helpful in that run.

Seems to me that we shall see each other again in the 1st round. plenty of time left but i don't see much changing. Wish the Central was still called the NORRIS DIVISION

You guys have gotten a nice bump since Yeo took over. Hopefully it wears off by the playoffs.

Ryan Hartman?

The Hawks won't part with Hartman for Duchene? Is that correct?

That's like saying the Laffs won't part with Connor Brown for Duchene. That's crazy.

big loss of Backes and Brouwer who performed well along with Elliot, but not really worried. We shall be a contender again

I mean Hartman's pretty good actually and only going to get better. Maybe not the same talent offensively that Duchene is right now, but he's 4 years younger, cheaper, and still only has 2 fewer goals than Duchene in about the same amount of games played.

Between Backes, Brouwer, and now Fabbri you guy are down essentially an entire line from what you had last season. Like the Hawks i think you guys need to upgrade at forward if you want to make a deep run.

We can't rely on the call ups that we have been relying on. Paajarvi is actually playing well now with the coach change and this young kid Barbashev might be able to make an impact along with Agostino but yeah. Brodziak is back and Stastny shouldn't be far behind. but still. Elliot stood on his head last year in the playoffs. I don't have that feeling with Allen at all. Need better team defense and if we get lucky. Allen should have been the one traded.

I really like the way Reaves has improved his game, no longer running around like a mad man looking for hits and fights(he still does that but to a much lesser degree) he has lost weight and has found his speed again. Aggressive on the forecheck and he CAN actually stick handle and score goals. The 4th line of Upshall Brodziak and Reaves is pretty darn decent as a shutdown aggressive 4th line. Granted they can't score, which is what you really need in the playoffs but who knows? Under Yeo i have seen an improvement in our team defense and overall play.

Not to fault Hitchcock at all. 2 head coaches on the bench NEVER works. Thats on the stupidity on the gm. I fully expect him to be gone after this season

IF Crawford is the one that is slated to be moved over the summer-- I would imagine that Bowman would go hard for the key acquisition-- a top 6 LW-- to equip the Hawks with the depth to make one last Cup run with Crawford--

Yes the salary cap era has ushered in the importance of working the financial puzzle and developing players-- which the Hawks have been very successful achieving-- just have been so good at it they can't keep the assets they develop-- but they have won 3 Cups-- the price of winning in the cap era-- most teams haven't won anything-- and still have cap issues--

But in regards to Duchene v Hartman-- IMO there is no comparison-- Duchene is a legit proven top 6 C/LW with lots of speed to burn-- Hartman has potential--- which is why you trade high--

All of it is smoke and mirrors-- Stan isn't going to telegraph his intentions-- nor is any other team GM -- If anything he is driving up the perceived value of Hartman by calling him 'untouchable' (which is silly to me) SELL HIGH STAN--

Hopefully it will get very interesting through the end of the month--
