Sounds like Crow might be heading out the door. It will be interesting to see what happens. I agree about number 9 being difficult to squeeze in next year. It's hard to put that many high-paid players at the top of the roster.

How are Gibson, Elliott, Mzarek, Hellebuyck and Allen doing as newbies at playing bigger workloads.

So if Crow is traded over the summer, what teams do you think would be the best match to acquire him and what do you think he would fetch and would he agree to be traded to that team?

Ignoring the Cap for a moment - why would anyone rather have Hartman over Duchene? Nixing a deal to acquire Duchene because you don't want to give up Hartman is nuts. And I like Hartman ... but c'mon, Duchene is on a different level.

Now, maybe from a Cap perspective it makes sense to keep Hartman and not acquire Duchene ... I don't know because the Cap situation is so fluid.

Agreed Wiz but where would you make the cap space then? That is the nature of this version of the NHL. Especially when the cap doesnt move. More and more teams get closer to the cap or their own internal budget limits and the options to move players shrink as a result. I doubt many fans would want to see Crawford go. Its looking at the current landscape that one comes to the conclusion that he is the most likely to be moved to gain cap space.

Count me as one Hawks fan who would like to see 2 time Cup winner Crawford moved somehow AND sign Darling to a 5 year more cap friendly deal than the one Crow has...5 yrs/ 3.5 mill a year....
