Sadly the CBJ should have gotten 4 points out of the weekend. I am very sorry to see Curtis McElhinney put out on waivers (but he was claimed by Edmonton which is good for him), but he gave up at least two bad goals on Saturday in my opinion, and that was enough for the Rangers to win. Not that the CBJ was great in the 3rd period, but that should have been a win.
But great credit to the Rangers who played their hearts out in that game. The Jones turnover made people sick to watch, since everyone knew what would happen on the breakaway before the puck got to the redline.
the question is now is Forsberg good enough to win NHL games after his recent AHL work? We will find out shortly.
Great game with the Flyers too, even thought they will complain about the CBJ goal and the one they were denied. Both looked to be good calls IMO, but I am biased.
I think it just shows how tough the Metro is this year and with Carolina playing so well recently they are no pushover either. the road trip this week will be a hard one to do well on. |

The previous poster said he was biased. DUH!
While the streak was awesome, they blew a big lead, and deserved to lose to the Rags. The "war room" in Toronto is biased against the Flyers. If you count the Columbus goal, you have to count the Flyers goal. The offensive player was not in the paint, and has every right to the space the defender wanted to get to. It's his own fault he ran into his goaltender! The officiating in this league is the worst it's been in 30 years. Sad! |

Mac wasn't good, but I actually didn't like the rotation. Bob should've played against NYR and Mac against Philly. That said, I never have "faith" in Mac in net. In my mind, I'm always thinking well I guess it'd be nice if we can get a point tonight. I was against re-signing him when we did and I think this is the best move for CBJ. I wish the guy well, though. |

Mac did keep them in games they should not have won (streak included). Not arguing, it is part of the business of sports , football players get cut in the middle of the season.
Hopefully we get better goal tending out of forsberg or Korpi , as Portzline mentioned , management is currently looking into the backup position going into the second half/ playoff race portion of the season. |

Yeah, I haven't seen that either. Honestly, having seen mac play for a few years I have no clue why anybody would. He's been "better"this season for us, but he has been consistently mediocre for CBJ in his time here. He may be a nice guy, but he's a a bottom tier goalie in the NHL. |

Well mediocre is better than Monsters absolutely (frank)ing God awful, so it would still be an upgrade however slight. |

Your take the goals is 100% wrong. I get tired of hearing how Toronto cheats you guys everytime something doesn't go your way. If the CBJ wanted to play that card we have all kinds of replays over the years where the wrong decision was made based on video.
I don't work Hockey but I officiate other sports, and you have no idea about officiating anything. In many ways officiating is better than it ever has been, now professional sports have so many complicated rules and TV cameras watching from dozens of angles on a game that gets faster every year, the officials are in a no-win situation.
With all due respect, I hope you can find a nice cheese to go with all the whine you have today. |

Considering I officiate, and have coached high school hockey, I'd say I'm more qualified than you to weigh in. The old saying applies here " He who argues with a fool, is but a fool himself "! So I'll pass on arguing with you, and please pass the bottle of Cabernet.
