Where would he play? The top 6 centers are filled out already, and he's much better at center than wing and prefers to play center. |

I would assume the caps would have to include two of bowey, samsonov and Varna. Plus whatever salary pieces needed to balance out the cap |

wow... most one sided trade in favor of caps ever developed. considering the bidding war for a player like Duschene... not a chance... that deal isnt even a starting point for negotiating. |

My biggest question is why the avs would be interested if they are getting a 25 yo d man who makes too many mistakes and a 26 yo winger who has peaked for Matt D. I think it's laughable to even think this is a starting point. |

Pretty bad proposal. I would think the starting point for COL is Bowey and a first |

Couldn't agree more. The Avs should laugh and hang up the phone if that's the starting point.
1) What would the Avs possibly want with Winnik? They'd have to turn around and try to trade him for something - let's say a 3rd or 4th round pick. 2) Johansson has never cracked 50 points - how is this an upgrade over Duchene 3) Orlov is an RFA and then 4) a late round 1st round pick. Likely in the 25+ range of the first round?
And to get all this greatness, they're going to give up Duchene, Tyutin AND their 2nd round pick which will likely be in the top 5, so essentially a late 1st round pick making the swap of picks basically worthless?
So this trade comes down to Duchene and Tytutin for Johansson, a RFA in Orlov and a 3rd or 4th round pick?!?!? Yeah, that seems like a really fair trade for both sides.... |

Kuznetsov is a better winger. |

poop. I'd rather give Bowey and a 1st then lose 2 roster players. |

well since Friedman mentioned something of the Avs asking Hamonic and Barzal from the Islanders when they called. Pretty sure the price is too high for the cap to swing mid season if they are thinking abotu a cup |

My guess is the Avs would start by asking for Carlson or Alzner (who is not signed)... Duchene is a very good player and the Avs need D. |
