and that exactly helps us how when you consider where we stand at the cap and who we have to resign? I know who comes off the books, but resigning what we have at RFA won't come cheap. Then, you have to replace some of those you lose because we don't have suitable in house replacements. Why would they want Murray when they have Quick lined up for the next seven years? They would have to pay their backup who won't see much time if Quick is healthy 3 million plus.

Didn't say it would help... Just think Murray is who'd they want and think anything they offered would start with at least one 1st. That's it.

Yes, still possibility. They would have to give back one of the goalies plus something decent. Totally forgot Elliott only had one year left. I wonder if Calgary has approached him about an extension. I would wait if I were Calgary.

However, Calgary's deficiencies aren't only in net as it stands now.

I'd wait if I were them too. But if both goalies are doing poorly and they want to make the playoffs this year the deal I just said would be a huge step in the right direction.

Glad the MAF/Murray stuff has come back up. Was trying to forget about it. Makes me nervous. Lots of room to (frank) up regarding our goalie situation.

I was reading Yohe's answers to fan questions yesterday...

He had an interesting nugget about Sestito. He basically said the stars love him in the lineup. Even though most analysis says enforcers have little impact in protecting the skill guys, the Pens stars seem to feel differently.

Like it or not, he definitely seemed to cool that asshat Wilson down the other night. He wasn't his usual sh*tty self.

Grinder is happy. I think he prefers Sestito to Crosby. I see the reasoning for him being in the lineup, not that I like it. However, he didn't look too bad against Washington and did do his thing to control the asshat.

To be honest Sestito hasn't been as bad as I assumed he'd be. Definitely a cup above Adams and Sill. I'd probably put him in league with Bobby Farnham.

I was going to say the same thing. He has limited skills, but he's not the worst cement head to ever pull on a Pens jersey.

Adams was a decent player in his roll, unfortunately he was allowed to hang on for about 4 years too long. Shero and Disco are to blame for that.

Yep, I expected Grinder to be the first comment after I posted that.

Do you guys not have to work in Switzerland or wherever you're from. Seems like you just refresh the hockeybuzz main page until a new blog comes up so you can say first in the comments. Did you somehow figure out a way to get a salary from your government for monitoring this site? If so good for you man, that's great work if you can find it.

Not trying to be mean at all. Go back the last 30 blogs and see who wrote first 27 of them at least and you'll see it's a fair question.

I think that's the most animated I've seen Sully. Not hard to read his lips after that call
