The World Cup site lists 1. Parayko, 2. Mackinnon, and 3. McDavid. So, I'm not sure what you're so pissy about.

And while I wouldn't disagree, it's not like Matthews getting a star would be some travesty either. He did lead the team in shots, and was the main driver behind Eichel's goal. If not third, fourth star would be justified.

Kap is still steaming that Weise didn't make the 4th line for Team Canada.

torts game has been up for 10 years....cant compete in NHL anymore, its changed too much.
But still he is more nhl "in tune" and savvy than Desjardins unfortunately

Ya Torts took a playoff ready Canuck team and ran it into the ground while WD got a Non-playoff Canuck team to the playoffs...

What I seen this weekend. Comets have some nice pieces.

Carcone will be a nice addition to Utica . Him and Valk are very good but will not make NHL

Cassels looks borderline but will probably be a call up later this year.

Gartieg looks solid and I expect him to be a Comet in 2017.

Demko was decent , a year on the farm should do him real good, but Markstrom is the man for the next few years.

I think Stecher is this years Ben Hutton. The kid generates chances. I think if he plays like that at main camp he will turn heads.

Juolevi is 18. Nice moves , smart player but is clearly not ready for NHL D.

Kap, I was there - Matthews deserved it, he was unreal, him, McD and MacKin are unbelievable in the corners, they can spin and get out of trouble so fast. Matthews was also very poised and made a lot of great passes the entire game. Their defense also stood out more than I thought they would. Parayko looks very much like Ekblad in his calmness, skill and skating. Gostisbehere and Trocheck were heavy hitters too. Laine had a few moments of brilliance but he looks like he's still trying to figure things out.

Victor Hedman is such a stud out there on defense, damn good pick by Yzerman.

yeah - he was fantastic, great on the angles and his rebound control was excellent. the last goal went thru about 17 players so you cant blame him on that one. I Got to the game and the boys lined up on the blue line and no King Henrik (of course live, no annoucers to say where he was) so I started fist pumping when I saw Markstrom with his helmet on.
Also, awesome to see the Sedins and Eriksson buzzing - although the Russian defense were playing shutdown big time. That Zaitsev dude is awesome.

watching McDavid, Draisatl and RNH at the world championships, and expecting a decent defense core of Larsson, Nurse, Klefblom and good goaltending... I think this is finally the year they turn it around.

good thing he's playing with McDavid right now. He'll let him know how it feels.

McDavid played with more talent in the OHL than his rookie season.

Juolevi is really good, yet unspectacular, however, he needs another year of development IMO. Some added strength and muscle will serve him well for next year.
