Interesting that a skilled forward would comment on a defenseman and he focused on the offensive skill of the guy. I'd rather a skilled forward tell me which defenseman are the best based on how tough they are to play against defensively. Maybe couture likes him so much cause he's always behind the offensive net allowing couture to face wingers who have gone back to cover. - Trevrrrgavo
Pretty hard to score goals when the other teams dmen have the puck in your zone
All 4 (seabrook isn't actually in his top 5) of those dmen are among the most defensively sound players in the game AND they can score goals. |

But you will always have Brett Hull! - DuranDuran
Yeah bul we got Joe Mullen, Doug Gilmore, Ramage....
The Blues have been very generous to us!
Besides Badger Bob didn't like Brett, he was never going to get a chance with him in charge! |

What is a "big game"
NHL playoffs don't count? - flashfire

Lol you do realize that flames and blackhawk fans didn't get together and write this article right?
Logan Couture is an NHL player. When you play in the Nhl then you can disagree with a player in the Nhl. Xbox doesn't count.

I'll say one thing, by age 33, Mark Giordano has played so little hockey in comparison to other supposed great defensemen by the time they reached that age that he may have the body of a 28 year old. He literally has no miles on him. |

I just have seen a lot of playoff hockey and it's a lot different than a game vs Edmonton in November |
|
|
|
he does? - jimbro83
Yea. If you paid any attention to the Western conference you would know CGY beat VAN 2 years ago and then lost to ANA in 5 after that. |

Didnt you guys lose to Edmonton around November? It was Sather Night and the sh!tty Oilers ran the score on you?
Then the playoffs roll around and your diva goalie hurts his eye, took five minutes to get eye drops while Pens fans boo him for being a puss, and he immediately lets in a stinker.
I get it though; you wouldn't watch the playoffs if the rags aren't in it. FYI the team that bent you guys over ended up winning it.

It s also the opinion of most of the commentators on NBC and a lot of NHL writers. Go back and rewatch the Pens playoff run. Crosby won the Conn Smyth, Kessel and Murray were great. Letang was there best player start to finish. Top 5 in the league right there with Doughty and Keith. Its ridiculous that Muzzin and Burns are on team Canada and Letang and PK are not... |

1. NBC?
2. NHL writers? You mean the same guys that (frank) up the Norris trophy almost every year and rarely even catch a western conference game?
3. We don't need a high risk high reward player like PK on the backend of team (frank)in Canada. We have 30+ goal scorers throughout the lineup, let them put the puck in the net. The d we bring are there to play defense first hockey.
Letang's good, argument can be made for top 5 in the league, but it just so happens that Logan Couture doesn't agree with you so GFY
