We need to get rid of his bad contract the puck is the value. And for what it's worth gazdic isn't just a goon he's a better player than bollig or mashinter and better fighter by far. As for panik I forgot him he will go on the 3rd line let motte and Schmaltz get accustom to the pro level in rockford. No way runbald gets us pedan but I'd take pedan as our 7th dman over svedberg. That Team would be fun to watch. - vandymeer23
Vandy, if your gonna get a guy who can fight, get some one like Matt Martin or Milan Lucic whocan also play a regular shift and repeating I am sure made Jonathen Toews short list to management of players he would like skating on his wing. Gadzic, don't know much about him, is he a kid just coming up , I don't think Bowman is in the market to pay someone 500 K to play 3shifts a game, Mashintor sucks, Panik sucks as far as being a 1st liner, maybe bottom 6 . THEY WILL getthe captianwhat he wants , lot ofdotsstarting to connect here. |

Offer sheets are like Unicorns since the lockout. Much rumored but never seen.
Teams aren't going to offer sheet guys like Shaw, Danault and the like. Its just plain bad business. While all those guys are valuable to a team, they just don't have star power or are difference makers. - TTtime
What's also happened is the cap makes it tough to acquire a big contract without shedding players and salary as well. That's a big reason the Saad deal went down the way it did.

Gadzic sucks. Fighting doesn't have an influence on the outcome of games.
Bollig is twice the player he will ever be.
The pick has no value because it won't be anything higher then a 4th. Kruger's contract isn't bad. Not when the likes of Boyd Gordon and Casey Czikas make the same amount of money. - TTtime
Do the NYI have $21million tied up in two players? No, they do not. So, the only team's 4C that you can compare to Kruger as far as value (cap hit vs on ice production) is the Penguins bc they are as close as it gets to 2 players taking up so much cap space. By comparison, 40 year old Matt Cullen made $850,000 last year and put up 32 points (16G, 16A) and has better shot generation, shot suppression, and possession numbers than the new $3.1million dollar man in Kruger.
IMO, it is a bad contract on the Chicago Blackhawks, given their top heavy Cap-committments, and what Kruger brings to the ice. Whether it is in the ballpark for market value around the NHL is irrelevant, bc NO team is as top heavy as the Hawks as far as salary. I am not surprised that he is (reportedly) being shopped, as guys who do what Kruger does can be had for 1/3 of the price (and better- see Cullen, Matt). That is without even mentioning his severe wrist injury that he personally questioned at the end of the season.
Cullen vs Kruger HERO chart.

I alway liked Lucic but a much different player than Shaw or Krueger.
I asked someone close to things with a west coast team because rumors were out Lucic was leaning toward the Ducks. My guy said he thinks LA will find away....But he also said Lucic likes it on the West Coast.
Campbell makes sense here for a few reasons...I think he is this year's Brad Richards signing. - Al
Campbell good for the D ,butitdoesnt solve Toews come to Jesus meeting with the big guys and his " I am tired of having club foots on my wings" fix it. Lucic can have his desires but McD if he is interested will put his best foot forward and sell that kid on the city and all the extra PR. Doe he can make here. Shaw and the "great Panik(koolaid) don't cut it for Toews. As far as LW ers
Edit: if not Lucic, Matt Martin checks some of those boxes or see if Tom Wilson is in play from the Caps. |

If Stan generates enough money to sign Lucic (i.e. Trade Shaw and Kruger) he should take that money and sign Ladd. Ladd would be a much better return on investment than Lucic. |

So now he's going to cheap shot Panarin while wearing a Panthers jersey? Good to know. |

He was licking his chops for sure.
I agree with you. A player who is going to be 30 by the time the season starts? That's absolutely not worth seven years, especially when he isn't an elite one.
Considering the amount of cap space that Florida has and the fact that they have only one d-man who is extended beyond next season, Florida has plenty to work with. |

Makes you wonder what Seabrook would have received on the open market. |

This tweet was in response to Kuc's tweet about shopping Kruger and feeling out trading partners for Shaw. That's two news outlets that are more dependent on the Hawks now coming out with something JJ had first and took a boatload of heat for! |

Ladd is 30 Lucic 27, if your gonna invest 6x6, do it on the 27 year old, but it sounds more and more like this Pitts stuff has some tread on the tires, so wait and see. If Malkin winds up here, then ya see What Martins people want . Who knows, we will see soon. It's all just a coincidence how the dots play out . Repeating,Uncle John likes doing cannonballs into the deep end instead of dipping his tows in the shallow end. |

Yep. I'll grab a pitchfork and march straight to Bowman's front door. Kane > Malkin and 2 years younger. Kruger+Anisimov+ for Malkin is the only trade I can see as a possibility. I just don't see it happening, regardless. |

God i would love that as Hawks fan, but i just can't see the Penguins making a deal unless it involves Kane or Toews(i would say Panarin as well, but in that case how would the Cap work?) |

Agreed.
Plus, Kane was a real PR nightmare tonight, eh. The Hawks were all over his various wins plastering the news over social media and their web site (as they should). I get why people think Kane is a risk, but I don't see Stan and company giving up their wonder child any time soon. |

Sometimes you'll hear people say that Malkin at "top gear" is the most talented player in the world, even more so than Crosby. Problem is Crosby is the more consistent more complete overall player. Geno disappears far too often IMO. |

Crosby, Tavares, or Karlsson and that's it. Maybe Jamie Benn...or Ovi too
Edit: Nevermind, I don't want to trade Kane until year 8 of this deal at the TDL when the Hawks suck again |

Even Kruger + AA for Malkin is a risky move. Chicago's bottom 6 is already not the greatest and you make it weaker for a guy who's averages just over 60 games per season over the past 3 years. No thanks. |
