Thanks bud! On another note, do you want/see the Rangers making big changes this offseason? - j.boyd919
Rangers need to make key changes going forward or else they will never improve. Age doesn't make athletes better and the Rangers are getting a little long in the tooth in some areas, especially on the blueline.
Next year, the defense needs to look significantly different and they need to address some issues up front as well. |

If You can somehow clear out cap to resign Yandle, a top 4 of McDonagh, Skjei, and Yandle doesn't sound that bad. What does Girardi's NTC look like? |

Though one has to admire the success of the Caps this season, I believe the Pens will win this series in 6 games with discipline and speed, both of which they seem to have mastered.
Discipline is uber-important as a speed team, so as not to fall into a slower, more physical game that the Caps could dominate. Not to mention the risk in retaliation penalties, while trying to keep the Caps power play on the bench.
And for once, the Pens do have... and I'm knocking on my (solid wood) piano bench while typing with one hand... some real depth, at all positions. Except goalie, that is...
GO MURRAY !! GO PENS !! |

She's from Pittsburgh we are wrapped in them at delivery. - dbell646
No, she was actually born in South NJ. I'm not sure how her dad, from Pittsburgh, ended up at the NJ shore, but he did. They moved back to Pittsburgh when she was like 6, and then moved back to NJ when she was 10-12. |

Nash is gone this summer. Not sure to where, not sure for what, but I just don't seem him back with the team.
Dan "I love Larry Brooks" Boyle and Dom Moore are UFA and almost 100% won't be re-signed; Boyle is likely to retire. These two contracts are worth a collective six million dollars. Kreider, Miller, McIlrath and Hayes are all RFA but I only see Miller and Kreider garnering substantial increases.
The potential buyout for Girardi is not a friendly one for the Rangers. This season, the amount would be a bearable amount but the following two seasons are an astonishing 3.75 million charge against the team's cap per. Gorton's going to have to put on his magic hat and make a miracle happen here in order to bring Yandle back and address the other issues at hand.
The one saving grace here is that Skjei and McIlrath are cheap but effective pieces to help strengthen the team a bit.
Biggest issue here though, above anything else, is Vigneault's stubbornness with the roster and his ability to adapt to playing the younger players regularly. |

This sounds crazy, but would the Rangers trade Kreider to the Flyers if the package include their 2016 first and Travis Sanheim (NHL top-10 offesnive defenseman prospect) as the 2 main pieces? |

What about E. Staal? Any signs they will keep him? Do the fans want to keep him at all? |

That's a pretty enticing offer for a player with a high ceiling but, up until this point, a relative disappointment.
Isn't Sanheim the Flyers third best prospect aside from Provorov and Koenecny(sp?)? |

Heading to the wilderness hopefully full of gobblers and wild brown trout, I'd also like to see a bear. As soon as we get there we are making our beds and heading 45 minutes back into some form of civilization to watch the game. I'll talk to you all on monday! |

From some of Staal's soundbites, during team breakup day, it seems pretty clear he wants to go somewhere that he is assured of a large offensive role.
Not that the Rangers are an offensive juggernaut but I just don't see Staal getting consistent top six minutes with this team, going forward. More importantly, it seems he doesn't feel that way either. |

Because south jersey is awesome. I go every summer and would move there in a second if I could. |

Well, we lost Hartnell, so we need someone to run a goalie. Simmonds tries, but he's more a throat jabber.
But seriously, he's an RFA and, for once, the Flyers aren't in cap hell, so we could add someone like him.
Provorov is basically untouchable, and Konecny is close to it. Sanheim's offense play isn't the issue, but he has questions about his defense. With the emergence of Gostisbehere, Sanheim becomes expendable, for the right deal. If you count Gostisbehere, hSanheim's probably 5th, or tied with Morin for 4th. |

Meh, it's nothing special. Her mom grew up in South NJ and her parents moved to Somer's Point (right next to Ocean City) and she was a dealer in A.C. Her dad was working security there and decided he wanted to hit it.
There are parts of South NJ that are super nice, but there's some other sports, especially near where I grew up, that are just short of gang warfare level. Not that I ever had an issue growing up, but literally the other side of the tracks was rough. |

Throat jabbing is a lost art, in my opinion.
Sanheim would be a nice acquisition, in a possible trade, as the Rangers lack a true offensive defensemen in their system. a mid-level first round pick is also interesting, to boot, but I just don't see the Rangers and Flyers exchanging assets. |

Thanks for the info. Depending on what Stamkos does E. Staal is the most interesting player to watch come free agency. |

Eriksson and Yandle as well. This is a pretty weak free agent class but you know some teams are going to black out and make some bad decisions. |

Erik Staal's next contract is going to sink his next team. Some offensively starved team is gonna shell out a ~6 mil AAV contract and he's going to continue to decline. I get the feeling Montreal is going to full court press on Staal. |

I'm worried it'll be the Wild. They have a huge need for a top center. But already have many bad long term contracts.
Any chance he signs a one year deal somewhere so he can be the first big name for Vegas? That'd be cool. |
