Ok as a leafs fan and knowingly being in the minority I don't believe that rc was the problem with this team
Is it easier to fire the coach,of course, will it have the effect that upper management is hoping for, no I don't think it will I just don't see the so called heart and soul with this team anymore. Is trading for Patrick m a part of the answer? No I don't believe it is this is the type of player a team try to add when the truly believe that they are close to something and I just don't see it in the leafs

Exactly. The likes of Staal, Marleau, etc. or any player isn't going to fix this mess. Blow the damn thing up already. Team is in terrible shape in almost every way. Cap/contracts, prospects (decent at best...terrible for a team who has made the playoffs once in 11 years), current roster makeup....depressing

As a leafs fan would.love this trade but as a realist I have to face palm the offer, If the totes were to trade away yandle you have to expect that they aren't looking to take salary back and I'm not sold on trading Kadri just yet might have the blinders on but I still think he can produce at a high level

With Parenteau's injury both Vermette and jagr would be on the 2nd line. As for Ruutu, injuries has made him a washed up 3rd liner.
