I love hall grew up watching him here in windsor. The ppl questioning his heart must not have watched him gm in gm out win back to back memorial cups. I dont think he is fragile either he just plays at a scary speed. I would do everything to get him outside of letting maata go in the deal. Even give up a couple 1sts we are in win now mode and running against the crosby malkin clock this kid gets us there . Lets pray for a Christmas miracle and an Edmonton meltdown

What he doesn't realize is coming here is your therapy...you know you and JMatch are just dying to come fully over to the side of goodness and light anyways.

Thank you sir, much appreciated.

In all honesty, yes, I'm a Flyers fan first and foremost. Not gonna hide that. But I grew up when the rivalry between the teams was 0, and was a fan of the Lemieux/Jagr/Stevens teams, and have always liked the Penguins. Plus, my wife is from Pittsburgh, so I follow them pretty closely, but feel I can offer a bit of a less-biased view at times. Hope most of you can appreciate that.

If you won't turn, perhaps your sister will...especially if she's wearing a hot slave girl bikini!

The if is in the argument. I'm still not sold on Hall as an elite goal scorer that commands a huge trade return.

John LeClair form his prime. How did he ever do anything with that except go shelf from within the blue paint?

- Johnny Wrath

42 points in 65 games his rookie year, 53 points in 61 games, 50 in 45, 80 in 75... goal totals of 22, 27, 27, 16 in 45.... I'm really not sure what is not elite about that? The kid is easily top 10, possible top 5 LW's in the league..

He's been here longer so he's right? I don't like his tone, I told him so, I have every right, emperor

Just pointing out that as a relative newb yourself, its rather bad form to be trying to tell other to get lost just because you don't see eye to eye. We try to police ourselves here (we even managed to rehabilitate Bartley!), and CPF is always available to drop the hammer on anyone who is truly a troll. So maybe just dial it back a bit, you are damaging my calm.

He is good, not really good. He maxs out as a 60-65 point type of guy. That isn't really good. He is best as a center, not as a winger. He is a 6 million contract for the next two years. IMO, he isn't worth that based on performance.
- Oneonta Penguin

He's still a top 6 upgrade, with $1M retained he's only costing us $5M, we're dropping Sutter's $3.3M, and we have Dupuis' cap relief. He may be overpaid in a vacuum but giving the circumstances, it's not a deal breaker for me.

Awesome, then. Let Boston trade Krejci, Subban, and their 1st rounder. Throw in Hamilton.

I don't think Hall is all that. I think he's one dimensional and his one dimension is not elite. Arguing for a top five ranking at any position isn't that great an argument to begin with, but that's to say that Hall is better than Parise, JVR, Nash, Pacioretty, Jamie Benn, &c. Daniel Sedin. I don't think Hall projects to be as good as Patrick Marleau. He may be as effective as James Neal on a team like Pittsburgh. In the LW realm, Hall is somewhere in the twenties.

He's being tested. Test results take three days; players are probably in isolation until it's known.

Beau Bennett has the mumps. The mumps. Is there anything Beau Bennett hasn't sustained to keep him out of the lineup?

That would just expose he and everyone else in the management box with him to the mumps.

Perhaps the Pens should devise a strategy for the whole team to get the mumps and just play on. They'd win 12-0 every night because the opposition wouldn't want to come near them....

All kidding aside, there has to be some concern that the guys being called up from WBS as replacements for our injured/sick will carry it back to the AHL when they get sent back.

Damn fun day!

+1 on this DComs, everyone plays nice on the Pens thread and hashes out disagreements civily. Hiccups from time to time but it gets handled without issue.

Ive thought about it a few times...never could bring myself to actually attempt it. Managed to down 2 in one sitting and didnt think it was too bad. Ive been hitting Meat and Potatoes downtown quite a bit before/after games--whole different level than BFGG, but delicious nonetheless.

Sorry, no Maatta and if that means no deal, I am perfectly fine with it, he is a special player and we can find another winger if that is the case

I don't disagree, but that's the kind of hurt a Hall trade is going to cause imo.
