I was dropping by to make a similar comment. The media hype will always whip the community into a frenzy, that is why GM's are hired to make moves and not reporters. The Oilers of 2014-15 tied their club record for shattiest start to a season, which essentially added up to what a 6 game losing streak? I think it's safe to say that Edm will be better than the 92-93 Sharks.

I like how RNH is playing right now, he seems to have a swagger. Honestly? Scrivens is not my choice for a goalie, but he is playing much better. I could go on and on and on about who is playing better,but, to me, it was only a matter of time. Such is the reality of a young line-up, you never know when a player is going to take that next step in development.

I tweeted same poop to Jamie McLennan and he thinks yaks good play is one game I told him multiple games. He messaged me back saying

Don't be fooled by empty calorie plays,he's a first effort player who is lost in his zone,playing shielded minutes against 3rd pairing D, He is consistently turning pucks over and making "hope" plays,if u think thats consistent,then that's why the oilers are a non playoff team. I muted the intermissions. I saw that second period q&a and didn't feel the need to hit the rye listening to those clowns.

This teams continues to make bonehead mistakes that are resulted in potential chances for the other team, but can you really be mad after doing what they did to the two best goal scorers in the league?

Fayne has the worse giveaway of the game, but (frank) it he did a lot of little things right. Really like the hustle and drive of the team. Do that and we will have a chance to win every game.

Balance is all this team needs- we won even tho the 3rd was close to a trainwreck- the professor bailed the team out... but I must note I have to give credit where its due with Eakins... I like that he was able to balance the fwd minutes as well as defense minutes... putting Yakupov on the ice with 3 mins remaining in the game is a very huge deal I will add that Drai improved this game but he is just too (frank)ing slow... He is going to be a monster for this team down the road but- we need an actual 2nd line center...
