Excellent work Lucas!

I feel it is very important to prepare for the draft well in advance and formulate a gameplan.

Selecting average players in late rounds that are playing with high-end line mates and getting top line minutes/PP time are steals!

Keep an eye on the winger who will be playing with Datsyuk and Zetterberg this year...if all goes as planned Weiss will be back in the lineup as #2 center which would allow Pav and Z to play together on the top line. Nyquist, Franzen or event Abdelkader appear to be the front runners for this spot.

thank you #19, what are your thoughts on Mantha making the Wings this season?

obviously there would be very little point in bringing a player up of that magnitude and skill for a bottom 6 role. Perhaps he could slot in beside Weiss on the second line?

To be honest, I think its VERY unlikely that Mantha cracks the opening lineup this year. As everyone knows the wings haven't had a teenager in the lineup for a VERY long time, but besides the fact that they like to over ripen their prospects, they have a huge log jam on forwards (when healthy).

Mantha will apparently get every opportunity to make the team during the pre-season, however unless he puts up his world junior scoring numbers in the NHL preseason, it is safe to say that he will be starting his first year of pro in Grand Rapids.

Right on, and yeah its been forever since the Wings rushed any prospects. Of course last season you guys had more injuries than Tim Connoly had in his career, but thats rare.

Expecting the wings to be floating around a playoff spot come next spring...again.

Wings will be in the 3-6 range in the east if healthy...if we have similar injuries to last year...i agree we will be on the bubble.

Bozak

over/under 50 points?

- senstroll

He had 50 points and missed over 20 games last year.

What do you think?

Imagine if Kadri could score at the same pace, maybe we'd make the playoffs.

Yeah he had a great season, better than average. Leafs could have used his hot streak towards the end of the season when they collapsed.

Still a solid pickup in the mid/late rounds because he will play vastly beside Phil.

There is a good chance he hits 60 points+, pending on PP time.

I just like to ride Senstroll. I like both Kad's and Bozak..just think Bozie fit better on the #1 then Kadri did last year.

Kadri want's a big contract next year..he better score 70 points or he's going to be disappointed I believe.

Bozak is a better fit for the first line because he's better two way at this point than Kadri, and it also spreads out the talent a bit. Bozak for the most part is a pass first player, which is exactly what a player like Phil needs; the puck.

If Kadri wants a big contract he will just have to show consistency all season, 60 points is still great for a second line C.

agreed, I think Kad's/Lups/whomever need to have a big year if we want to continue after the reg season.

They will def. have to step up this season to make things easier for the top line.

Nice job Lucas. I do that print out, high liter method for football drafts. All the hockey drafts are online for me. Love the idea of grabbing Brown in the mid to late rounds. Gotta disagree on Brad Richards though. He doesn't have enough "Get n' Go" to keep pace with Kane and Saad.

Thanks, and yeah that method works great - most of my pools are done online as well, but I still find it's great to have because it's right infront of you, and you have ease looking for your need. The highlighted players really stand out and you can quickly narrow down your selection.

Brown should have a bounce back 'fantasy' season - right on!

I knew at least one Rangers fan would chime in about Richards I also agree he didn't have a lot of the "Get n' Go" in his game last season...couldnt agree more.

Thats part of the reason as to why I think he will do better this season, after such a bismal season I'm thinking he will commit to a harder working game. Saad is a work horse and Kane has all the skills you can ask for (just the wrong attitude if you ask me).

Thanks for the read i hope you enjoyed!
