From @GunnerStaal
Not trying to rain on CBJ parade about Dubinsky but he didn't shut Crosby down In fact his 38.5% Fenclose would indicate he did quite poorly.

Shouldn't you be on your own thread using Crosby's limp wrist as an excuse for failing in the playoffs again? |

a piece of free advice... dont talk about other team's playoff failures when your team hasnt been in the playoffs for the last two years.

Wow, it's crazy to see that Dubinksy will have a bigger cap hit than Carter.
I like Dubinsky....but too much $$.
Although, as tough as it is to attract free agents to Columbus....I guess I see why the slight overpayment. |

The last 2 years of Carter's deal help lower the cap hit. |

Reminds me of the contracts given to Tomas Plekanec and the one given to Grabovski by the leafs that got bought out. You can justify the amount he gets from the role he plays on the team if they continue to be a playoff team, but if the team doesn't do well, then the contract will look bad on the GM. |

I think the Callahan signing kinda set the bar for this type of player. Cally is similar in point totals to Dubi, and has the 'intangables' you want in the playoffs. Dubi's is a bit more since he isn't in a state with no income tax, otherwise, very similar to Cally.
I think it was too much for both players, they are maybe 5M guys.... |
