Dunno? How does a usually immovable object in Chara fall down after Bertuzzi farted on him? |

Nice location, in response:

Marchand needs to take passes and shot at an empty net for the next two days. That should double our goal production!
Ericksson.....not sure, maybe a FEW energy drinks?
Is it me or is he just lost out there with the Yeti?
Solderberg is three seconds quicker than Ericksson right now.
Kinda want to see Solderberg with better players right now. Maybe on the Bergy line....?
Solderberg needs help, maybe Marchand and Ericksson switch?
Something. |

As the whole concept of advance stats progresses, I wonder if we will be able to really see that players like Dats, Toews, Bergy, Kopitar, etc. are better one on one matches to watch than the Crosby's and Stamkoes and OVIs, etc.
It seems that the best all around players shut each other down for the most part, BUT the best all around players always seem to shut down and produce against the top scorers.......in the league.
Pattern that should be looked at....?
One thing that is interesting to me is the lack of production from some of these top players against BETTER COMPETITION that the playoffs force.
Maybe we should reevaluate the BEST IN THE LEAGUE. Not five or six point games against crappy competition. Compared to big boy players playing against big boy players.
Just a thought.

One way to measure it may be to see who wins more cups. I'd take Toews, Bergeron and Kopitar on my team over Crosby, Ovechkin and Malkin any day of the week. |

Its true, Crosby is a bit different as he is pretty good on the other side of the puck and plays both sides, but in terms of Ovi and Maklin they are scorers... and you can find them all over, you cant find guys like Dats, Bergeron and Toews who play every important minute on both ends of the spectrum as well as take the faceoffs, PK, PP and score the big goals... They are thefull packages |
