I guess some posters out there can forget the idea of Bowman trading Bickell this off-season. It isn't going to happen now.
- EKolb13

If Bickell was a really nice guy like I think he is I'm sure he sent Sobotka a case of Excedrin to deal with the pain and light headiness he experienced from getting pasted along the boards. And Sobotka can share it with that idiot Lapierre who got whacked pretty good too.

Even though Hoss hasn't been lighting up the score sheet, he was very aggressive and fast last night. There were two big hits he threw that made me wonder why he hasn't done that more in the past.

I said that at the end of the regular season when he was actually playing really bad...but I've also been pumping his tyres for 2C and the Hart trophy all year

What happened to the Blues trolls? If the Hawks should lose again on Friday I guess we can expect them back.
- paulr

Blues fans are just Cardinals fans-in-waiting. They only have to wait until Round 2.

After a long night of hitting the shine and then their wives, they should be rolling out of their trailers sometime around noon.

Yeah, it is really easy to pick apart regular season performances, call goaltenders just average, players over paid, and low end peices as big needs for replacement.

Once you won and suffered in winning (injuries) you know how to play and what you must do.

If anyone thinks Shattenkirk, Polak, and Boumeester haven't felt the Bickell and Hawk hard hits think again.

I must say I always thought Boumeester was the biggest overpaid ypung star in this league and it was because we all thought that he was supposed to be this tremendous offensive generator-when in fact he is a brilliant defensive defenseman (maybe the most under-rated in the league----if Shea Weber could do what he does he would win the Norris every year.) who in his own end closes bodies takes pucks with his stick and is really strong on the puck once taking it. I think thats why they are bodying him constantly.

This series is far from over and there is no sign of one of the two combatants letting up. The series looks like teams are making bad plays, but it is mostly the other team quickly forcing and answering at the same quickness.
Maybe some can attempt ot criticize the 'tenders, but they have closed pretty big openings but I just can't. There have been times when they are walls out there.

Patrick Kane has out of the world talent. Even back in the day when he was lazy, lacked maturity and strength and didn't seem to want to play all aspects of the game he still possessed the tools to be a big time player though I argue was not a "super star" though he was marketed as such.

Any marketing to that effect now would be instantly credible...I believe that #88 has more skill than any hockey player on the planet. If he was a bigger he would wreck the league.

- kwolf68

He's probably the best player with the puck in the world and has the best stick skills in the world, plus he's a great and fast skater. Yeah, if only he were bigger.

D hasn't. D has actually commented in previous posts that 17 seems a lot more comfortable in his own end this year and has been much better exiting the zone.

Lapierre would use the Excedrin as a suppository!

Rocky Wirtz is pretty happy this morning with the little guy - he just assured him of another $6M gate on Sunday afternoon.

I've been saying all year that he takes way too much abuse. The last two games he's looked really good...playing with a better partner than Leddy makes a big difference, and he's more than adequately replaced the physical element that we get from Seabs.

Lapierre and Ott can administer the Excedrin to each other that way. Want to see their faces when the Hawks win the series and shut those 2 A-holes up for good.

Mohel agrees, and points out the contrast between Brookbank's one playoff game last year and these games. He played a lot at the end of the year and Mohel thinks that has kept him sharp.

Got to like the Toews, Kane and Bickell line...tip of the cap to somebody who will remain Unnamed at this time.

Home teams 10 and 1 in the west in first round so far.

I pitched for him to stay in the lineup last night after 7 returns and threw out Rozy's name; some other people mentioned Leddy this morning.

Not sure about pairing 17 and 32 together they would be a bit sloe together but I think he's been better than either one in the two games he's been in.

Earlier in the year, he was Brookstank IMO, however that may be becasue who his partner was on D. I retract that nickname with his impressive performance to soften the loss of Seabrrok

I'm sorry but won't apologize for brookstanks play on the wing. But that is more of a Q issue I guess.
