Its easy to say after all the slow motion replays we have seen. However, in real time it happened in a split second. Anyway. - Elbows15
Yep...like i said...i've got NO PROBLEM with the hit at all. NONE. I prolly shouldn't have underlined the 'crossed the line' part in Mo's post...but Seabs' took a risk and he and the team paid a huge price in losing game 2, but Seabs has and will win us a lot more games than he loses.

Yeah, Morin has the offensive upside and does play a physical game. However, he's not going to be able to dole out the punishing hits like Bollig can. - EKolb13
Yeah pretty impressive with 4 hits in 6 minutes |

Oh boy. Probably the same GM who would take Bouwmeester over Seabrook. - Elbows15
Honestly I don't think I've ever even seen a Blues fan try to argue Backes over Toews, let alone a professional journalist. That's just pathetic. It's actually not a discussion, every GM in the league would answer Toews in 1 second. Does this guy think David Backes, who didn't even play the most minutes of any American center is better than the guy team Canada trusted to play the most minutes of any forward? Holy poop what a (frank)ing idiot |

Interesting chat, didn't realize Miller was such a whiny female dog. Goalies generally don't throw their defenseman's names out when asked about a goal but he seems to think the blame lies with Shattenkirk. - Sconnie

Like I said Al. It was his best game last night. He was very ineffective up until then and playing scared. He had 4-5 hits last night. - Elbows15
I think many players have either looked tentative or have flat out made dumb plays...
Every one of the players I'm thinking of won a Stanley Cup by not doing the same...
If I was a fan what I would be worried about is fatigue because that not only causes players to react differently but also plays a role in mental mistakes.
The lack of attention to details has been striking...Sharp at the end of 2nd period before the Blues 2nd goal is another example.

Any word on Sobotka today ? He looked like a crushed beer can after Bickell opened the bomb doors on him. - philco28

Blues Beat Guy - Jeremy Rutherford. Same moron who was insisting that Backes was going to play last night.
- CBHawks88
What I heard yesterday about 4:00 was Backes had less than a 5% chance of playing.

Love when B-29 drops the ordinance in such devastating fashion. Cleanly and no penalty. And have to believe the bench gets a big lift from a jolt like THAT.

No word (not that you want Rutherford's info anyways after Backes declaration)...
but speaking of Bickell, one Blues fan wanted to know why we're above the law?
"Why do you think Chicago is OK with Bickell out there running the Blues' best players but St. Louis won't unleash Reaves? Is the league bias that obvious that Chicago simply feels above the law and Hitch knows Reaver will get nailed by the refs?"

It was great to see not only garbage goals, but also typical hawks goal by Kane set up by Johnny O. Reminds last year DET and LA series
And that 2nd line centered by Ben Smith was dangerous! |

He's a good goalie with good career numbers, but sounds like he threw a mate under the bus and that won't play well in the room....IF...it's true. |

I just remember when Miller was crying in the press conference after Lucic took that run at him a couple years ago.
He had a right to be pissed, but (frank) him either way. |

I agree that he's a good goalie but when you are trying to be a serious contender with a fairly young group of guys, the last thing you need is a diva that distracts or hurts morale.... He's always been that... |

Did I use the term impressive?
Jesus, do you think I'm arguing that Bollig deserves to be in the line-up over someone else? All I was pointing out that Bollig is able to lay a more physically harder hit than Morin. That's all it was.
If you're arguing from the point of who should be in the line-up because of performance, I guess everyone has their opinions.
Regardless of opinion, when has Q actually made a change to the line up that he wasn't forced to make in this series? |
