I'd love if they could get nick Ritchie but I have no idea where he's projected
- shvingter88

Yea he would be a solid pick up I have seen to many draft rankings so far but I think he will be going in the top 5. It hard to say this years draft is getting zero hype compared to last years.

No not unless we set ourselves back by trading an NHL ready defense man like Gelinas or Larsson but that would be a set back instead of a step forward lol

No you are right BUT if any GM COULD do it I think it would be Lou But 99% of the time it is status quo like you said
- blizzzard

Yup so just be prepared for trade for vet dman who needs a chance, Ray Whitney, and the signing of Petr Nedved for that playoff run. Marty is getting majority of starts as well. Sal-Harold 25 mins a night and 4thline 18mins. Status quo.

I would be stoked for a second rounder
- shvingter88

I think a 2nd rounder is bang on. A team like Minny, Chicago, Philly, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Tampa, the list goes on could use a guy like Marty. The question is whether or not he'd be fine as the 1b option. There's no situation where he'll walk in as the #1 guy unless someone gets hurt between now and next Wednesday. Even then, do you take Marty or Thomas? Tough call.

I think it depends on how desperate teams are. An injury to a top goalie in the next few days and Marty will probably fetch a lot more than he's worth.
I could see TB being interested in Marty seeing as Bishop has been dinged up lately.

Maybe Montreal will want Marty. There's a lot of history there and I bet they would overpay massively. Do I need to remind you that Montreal once traded Ryan McDonagh for Scott Gomez!!!!

It depends on what St. Louis is looking for, if they are looking for a goalie at all. Ryan Miller would replace Halak and Elliott all together and become the starter, and the Blues would have to pay a lot more to get him than Brodeur. If they are looking for more experience behind those goalies, then Brodeur comes into play. It would be awesome if the Devils could get someone like Ty Rattie from them, considering they don't have many natural right wings in the system as well
- mkaufer

Not a chance on Rattie. If he is getting traded it's in a package for Miller.

Brodeur has experience, but I doubt he gets anything more than a 4th. His numbers just aren't good. I would imagine Elliott and a 4th being Blues best offer.

I'd put the likelihood at 0%, with the way Price is playing.

He isn't really anything special either.... drafting a 3rd liner in the first round considering the circumstances doesn't really put a smile on my face or get me excited.

He's currently a 3rd liner now. He's young, not every play makes an impact with the big club right away.

He could be a guy that can be slotted on the 2nd or 3rd line depending on what they need from him.

We will see I would be shocked if he became anything more then a third liner.

Kind of excited to see what our defense will look like on Thursday. Seems like one of the favorites will have to sit.

I don't see how the Blues would be interested.

He is not an upgrade today over Halak. And honestly, as bad as this sounds, probably not over Elliott either.

Ride out the season Marty, and retire. It is time.
