You hack.
It'll be interesting to see if they make any moves to put them over the top. |

Them winning the cup is fine by me, unless they play the devils, then I don't want them to win.
Luckily the devils aren't going anywhere - shvingter88
Cheer up! NJ is 2 games over NHL .500. That's a start.

With four top-flite goalies in the system? Not a snowballs chance in hell. My money is on him going to St Louis.
Steve, what do you think they'll target with the cap space they have available ($8 mill I believe) offense or defense? |

They have no chance at a Cup if Luca Sbisa plays significant minutes, and he'll be back soon. Hide the women and children. And a Getzlaf injury in the playoffs can end the season quickly. Let's see how they're playing after the Olympics before we get our hopes up too high.
I'd trade Sbisa (or give him away) and whatever else it takes to bring in another defensive reinforcement. They're still not strong enough back there to win the Cup as far as I'm concerned, especially with Souray lagging in his recovery. The playoffs are different. Ask the Sharks or the Canucks.....or Bruce's Caps teams.
On a positive note, they will not draw the Red Wings in the first round. That was the worst possible scenario last season. But they're in the West. So they'll at least have to play LA/SJ, and Chi/StL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Those are going to be tough! |

Well, that is unfortunate for the Ducks Cup run this year. Don't get me wrong. I like Hiller. He is a really good tender. But, he has thus far proven he can't step it up in the post season. I was really hoping we would strike a trade(s) in which we bring in Miller to replace Hiller and for Miller to then be a mentor to the young american Gibson.
oh Well. |

The Ducks are good. - Nucker101
Post season has always been BBs biggest problem. Had an almost identical situation with Caps a few years back. |

Yeah, I was kinda hoping for his 1st blowup tonight. Don't think it's gonna happen this year, maybe over time he'll return to form. |

I think that's more of a Caps thing to be honest. Boudreau seems like a coach the players will always play hard for, and this team seems like a perfect fit for him. |

Well they had a great home record, a similar 23 game winning streak, nice balanced scoring, team was clicking and a super stars in AO and Backstrom. Playoffs roll around, no secondary scoring and he couldn't seem to adjust. Wont give this team credit until they do some damage in the playoffs. Where it counts |

Call me crazy, but I think Perry/Getzlaf are better built for the playoffs than Ovie/Backstrom. Plus the Ducks have multiple lines that can score and Hiller is a solid goalie. The west will be a war, anyone of the 3 Cali teams or CHI/STL can win the cup this year. |

And I think Ovie only care about getting paid, therefore, only the regular season. Getzy as captain is waaaaaay different than Ovie. Last year was the worst possible matchup for the Ducks. |

Don't forget Boston, who will walk through their division playoffs, walk over Pittsburgh in the ECF, and be healthy against whoever the West puts up, |

Yeah, I was specifically talking about the West. In the East, it's Pitt or Boston IMO. |
