use a butter knife on your throat, because I don't believe it, Yandle is a top tier defenseman, JVR wasn't a top tier forward at the time.
I believe JVR could have maybe brought in one of their younger guys, but ot an established top tier guy

The flyers do seem to have a habit of falling in love with certain players.

What did England do?
- FrmRusiaWifGlov

he just is what he is. a barely serviceable defenseman who really isnt that good. respect him for what he was, i mean he managed some nhl time, won a few fights, and may actually have a place on an active roster somewhere.

but the fact that he constantly gets the nod over despres. my (frank)ing god.

Wow he's playing over Depres. Interesting choice to say the least.

honestly, Berube has done a great job, but Rinaldo doesn't belong in the NHL

yeah. i realize i probably do hate him more than most, and ill admit some bias in that, but still. he does not deserve a spot on an NHL roster.

Yandle had much greater value than Schenn or JVR at the time. Timmy is an unreliable source to put it mildly.

you guys had 4 D men out & were still winning, as my boss says to me at work:
"you'll be ok"

sorry, just kidding

seriously though, I've lost my patience with Rinaldo, I don't know what they see in him?

I think Ben Holmstrom would help us more

just for hockey's sake, id rather see someone like that get a shot. the league needs to move on from these idiots on skates who offer little else. i dont care if its "passionate". as ive discussed before with people on here, passion is a dude like lappy just laying down and flat out eating blast after blast

despres is young and literally has it all physically. he has shown the occasional growing pain, but since his latest AHL stint he has grown tremendously. but hey, why develop him? engo youre up pal.

Occasional bad penalty but overall super impressed. This is what happens when you keep your second round picks Holmgren

Hagg was out there on the last shift. The announcer said they were trying to get him the puck for the one timer. Nice to see him gettitng those intense minutes

In here Tim says that the Flyers could have had Yandle for the same price as JvR...if that's true...Jesus (frank)ing Christ.

Evander Kane just burned Brooks Orpik beyond recognition.

US Olympic LOCK, Brooks Orpik

- Jsaquella

The Olympic selection process has as much to do with the egos of the NHL GM's on the committee as it does the players.

Brooks Orpik really doesn't belong on this year's Olympic team.

Agreed
rumor was that maloney was asking for B Schenn, Couturier and a pick for Yandle just a year later, find it very hard to believe that JVR gets the deal done just 12 months earlier.

More likely old TP is frustrated cause the Flyers are winning and he's desperately trying to find something negative to write about. What a tool.
