I would love Christ Stewart, scores, fights, hits, tough, stands in front of the net. He's perfect for what this team lacks. Sather make it happen. - pcjr307
I've heard too many avs and now blues fans saying he plays hard
For a bit, then Phones in the rest. Doesn't sound like that would
Play too well in NY. Certainly not among this group. |

I try to be respectful all the time since I've posted on this site and you got dunces that just can't contain themselves. It's a shame, 95% of you guys are awesome.

One of our worst losses in ages and someone just can't help himself, so I figured I'd come over here to make it more comfortable for him. That's the kind of guy I am. |

Sorry Jan, how many times did Gaborik score 40+ goals for the Rangers? The article didn't make it clear. - oniremosewa
Dur, he said multiple times. Dur.
Yes he said it multiple times, go back to the wasteland koow as EK's thread. |

The only reason I would want Gabby back is so I can wear my Gabby jersey again. |

@ChrisKuc: #Blackhawks trade Jimmy Hayes and Dylan Olsen to Panthers for Kris Versteeg and another player. Florida will pay half of Versteeg's salary.

The rich get richer... And if I remember correctly, A homecoming for Versteeg, didn't he start out with the Hawks? |

I can't believe it either. For 2 mil plus a year I would have liked the Rangers to get in on that. They basically gave him away, guy is not the greatest but could pot 20+ a yr for 2.2 mil a yr, that is a steal. |

Not a giveaway, two prospects for a high priced underachieving player. Hawks had the inside track on this one: Tallon and the Hawks organization have an obvious history and Versteeg likely preferred to go back where it all started.
Florida is going to blow that whole thing up; I expect a slew of veteran dump type trades throughout the rest of the way. |

A little late to the part here but no. Its clear his shoulder issues have hampered him and while AV would no doubt let him play and not force him to block shots, et. al but that ship has sailed. |

Still, it's a matter of striking while the iron is hot. Nice to see an organization not sitting on it's 2 cups is the last 3 years, and being proactive despite the connection with Tallon, Versteeg and the Hawks. |

The owners know they have to be. Remember what happened during their cup drought? I think they may have been the only original 6 team in danger of moving because they had no fans showing up to games in the mid 90s |

There would have to be 1000% proof he is healthy and the Blue Jackets would have to at least take Pyatt and Del Zotto and then eat part of the remaining salary like Florida is doing in the Versteeg deal.
I wouldn't give up much else because, as already mentioned, Rangers and Gabby have been-there, done-that. I would certainly take the scoring threat and insurance in the event of injury to others, but as a upcoming UFA, I'd not risk much. |

Why not wait until he's a free agent and offer him the contract thats good for the team? Low risk possible high reward. |

I know you against Gaborik from a salary stand point but let's forget that for a minute. Just on pure scheme and fit and giving up assets stand point, would you welcome getting him back? |
