Whoa there, sonny jim. I think Bernier is better, personally. It's all objective. Furthermore, he has earned a spot much less than Olesz and Ted. - willschulme
I think when on a line they are all equal but over all Bernier is the much better player then Gionta IMO. |

Carter seems to be more consistent as well. |

It's got to be Fayne. He only has a year left and a very small contract. - willschulme
Would make the most sense. |

When I see Carter and Gionta ( and I like both ) I see great fourth line players but I just dont know if they have the ability to play up in the line up. Like Bernier would be ok for short periods on the second line and in my mind could be a third liner. He just has slighty softer hands and a higher hockey IQ then the other two. |

Actually, Gio and Urbom would both have to clear waivers to get down, money aside. The reason they haven't tested that was that DeBoer likes Gio and doesn't want to take the chance to lose him for nothing and Urbom is too valuable. For the most part, I agree with the rest. I don't see Urbom being traded. Gio might be. - willschulme
Yeah I know they would have to pass through waivers but it's either now or later so that's why I said if that was the case he just would of put them two through waivers yesterday. Not doing it makes me think that they both made the team and now Lou has to try and "move" 2 players who have 1-way deals. |

Orrr maybe he's still going to send down gionta and urbom but wanted to wait until other teams fill their 23 man roster so there's less of a risk of them adding one of gionta or urbom. It does sound like Urbom is staying tho, with the number change and all. I think Gionta is sent down and a D is traded. Makes the most sensed or many reasons. |

Just because the rosters are finalized doesn't mean that teams won't go for a very talented rookie for free. |

Dude. I waited all day for 5 o clock for nothing then I waited till 8:15 for my fantasy draft and what do you know the thing reset so we had to vote to get it back to that time and we needed 6 voted to change it and we got 5 haha so that never happened either just a total let down of a day |

Obviously this isnt the case, but could you imagine if Kovy stayed with us and seriously re-injured his same shoulder this year. Imagine if he fell into Rick Dipietro status with a nagging career injury like that. I know we're all done with talking about this, but we really are much better off in the long run without that bumhole. |

Not at all. He's a vocal guy and got a lot of spirit in him. I don't know if he's a first pairing d-man, but he's a very good teammate. |

I'm happy Gio did not get send down to the minors. He is a good, fast center that has a scoring touch and does not mind getting physical. I hope this means they are not breaking up the CBGB line. It is arguably the best 4th line in the NHL.
As far as a trade, I see Fayne going. He isnt that big of a cap hit (1.3 mill) and this is final year of his contract. Maybe the Oilers, Av's, or Flames. I will never forget him missing a wide open net in the stanley cup final. Fayne never impressed me with his play but is a real nice guy. Im sure Lou will treat him well if he trades him. |
