Carolina should line up a package based off prospects or picks for one of Wideman, Gio or Brodie. Price will be relatively high as the Flames won't be quick to part with young talent, and I doubt Carolina is going to want Wideman's contract.

So? He met with Laviolette, too. Just cause he talked to them doesn't mean anything important actually happened. This is one reporter saying "these guys might've possibly met today according to my super secret source, but I have no idea what they met about, what they talked about, and what came as a result. I don't even have confirmation from anyone involved that the meeting even happened. But it seems pretty suspicious to me."

Agreed. Wideman contract would be hard to move, Giordano makes the most sense but it still doesn't sound like a great fit for a trade.

I dont think every player should have a personal doctor with them on vacation, some guys are just injury prone...sure they could have monitored it, but that still may not have prevented the situation he's now in...sad situation to be in though...
