if they cut the yellow in half on the jersey, went with a more traditional blue and used white for the numbers, they would be ok

I don't even hate the gold. I just wish they had picked a color and stuck to it. I like the blue along the shoulders and sleeves, but it should have been gold around the whole torso then. Or just make the whole damn thing blue. And again, why the gray? Especially on the sleeves?

the fact that the sabres haven't posted about this, it hasn't been on nhl.com, heck, even EK didn't say anything about it just says to me that this is a joke played on us by steve ott. and if so, its a cruel joke, cause that jersey is butt ugly lol

I like the Whalers logo. One of the best in sports, IMO. But they had their fair share of scary things too. Like this:

I hope the NHL bans these because the front is a light color and the back is a dark color. If they were the dark blue throughout with yellow just on the side and got rid of the Buffalo above the logo, those would be awesome jerseys.

They wouldn't have released them if they weren't already NHL approved. The whole process takes quite a while. I'm sure the NHL has already put their stamp of approval on it at this point.

Gave it a 4...4/5 for the back, 0/5 for the front.
