Personally I liked the star forwards that helped us to 2 wins from a Stanley cup.

Such a weightt off but now there is nothing to really wonder about untill the season starts up

woohoo! For better or worse (I'm optimistic about both of them), we're set at center for the foreseeable future. Good to have some type of core coming together now that we have ownership stability.

Next step is to let Larsson prove himself this year and go through this whole process again with him next summer.

hopefully next summer some other team will be stupid enough to offer Larsson a long term deal and the devils can stock pile the draft picks, by next summer Merrill,severson,gelians, and urbom will all be higher on the depth chart than Larsson.

I didnt think Larsson was that bad, he doesnt put up offensive numbers but I always assumed he was just a stay at home shut down dman in the making? Or is that not really he game either?

They didn't win though and the better TEAM beat us. La kings don't really have a star other then quick, doughty and kopitar. But a group of solid players and good chemistry. Both styles of teams work as the hawks won this year. I think will be better off. We strayed from the Devils mold and had minor success. Now we're going back hopefully it'll work. Being a team that scores by committee just fits the devils.

They are very good but i wouldn't say either are a star. Richards got traded cause he wasn't a star in Philly and same thing about carter. Him more being shipped out of CBJ. I don't think Philly was right in shipping out Richards but they did.

If he comes down, great. If he doesn't, Raymond. That's how i see it.

Mike Richards and Jeff Carter were studs in Philadelphia.

They were both traded for promising prospects, i.e. Coutourier, Schenn, and co.

We multiplied our talent pool by picking up Voracek, Couturier, BSchenn, Simmonds, Grossmann (acquired with a pick from the Richards trade), and Cousins from these trades.

Carter needs others around him to be good. Therefore he is not a star. I don't see why what im saying as something new. Richards you can argue with me. I can acknowledge that much.

I wouldn't even say that. The year after we traded them we went to the 2nd round. As often as you may hear this from Flyers fans, this past year was a definite fluke.

I don't think I'd consider either of them stars really. I'd love either one on the devils, but they lack the offensive firepower to be considered a true star. Richards is a great second line center, but his value really lies in his grit and defensive game. Carter is a little too one dimensional offensively for me.
