yeah but our defense wasn't great either year but our offense scored more. last year we plain sucked. You could make the case that miller "mailed it in" but if you watched the games, he shined more than he didn't. Look at his shot count last year, he stopped a lot of pucks but eventually let in enough for us to lose most nights because he's not hasek and the crappy team in front of him let in a lot of friggin shots!

Since we are all posting lineups here's my take...

Vanek - Hodgson - Stafford
Leino - Grigorenko - Ennis
Foligno - Girgensons - Ott
Tropp - Porter - Flynn
Kaleta/Scott

Myers - Ehrhoff
Mcbain - Weber
Tallinder - Pysyk
Sulzer

So much about these lineups will depend on camp, especially with the Defense. I sort of think that Tallinder has lost a step or two, but he could surprise us. If he plays well he will get paired with Myers on the second pairing, pushing Weber up to the top pairing. Weber was our 2nd best D last year without question, severely underrated around here. Pysyk will without a doubt be up here, and I think it is wise to leave Risto, McNabb, and Zadorov down in Rochester at least to start.

Stafford on the top line has less to do with him being a top liner and more to do with setting up Grigorenko for success. If not Stafford I could see Ennis moving to the top line, which would make that line pretty dirty. If that is the case I would want Ott with Grigo and Stafford with Girgensons. I like the bottom two lines because they are scrappy and physical but still have the potential for offense. I think it will be between Girgensons and Larsson for a center spot, and my money is on Girgensons.

I don't think those lines are too bad, but it would definitely help to add another decent scorer to our lineup. Probably won't happen though...
