McNabb should be able to make the jump now, if he can't, move him before teams figure out he's a 6-7 guy like Brennan - sbroads24
Darcy needs to swap McNabb for a winger of his talent level. It would need to be a fair trade that tends to team needs. |

I dunno, if I was Anaheim... I'd scoop a couple of UFAs up rather than going nuts trading... there's a bunch out there they could get for cheap. Not a cap expert, but would Souray's contract against the cap if he's out? If not, then the Ducks have some room. |

Sabres opening night lineup
Vanek Hodgson Stafford
Foligno Ennis Leino
Ott Grigorenko Flynn
Girgensons Porter Kaleta
Scott
Ehrhoff Myers
Tallinder Ristolainen
Weber Pysyk
Sulzer McBain
This team really needs help at C. If they brought in Grabovski on a 1 year deal they would be a much deeper team. I also think Ristolainen gets 9 games. With their depth on D I see no reason to use up a year of his deal when the team likely won't be competing for anything this season. - jetsfan26

I really don't think we have that bad of a roster. The problem we had last year was that we had no secondary scoring, with that lineup (If Grigs takes the next step) I think we'll have a better team then people think |

it's been like that for a while. It's because Kevin basically runs the draft and has been around a while.

He's had that position over a year now.

how is that lineup any different than what we put out there last season.. Grigs will still have growing pains and probably look bad alot, Zem will be the same and stafford still sucks |

So Souray injured his wrist again, is this the same wrist that has given him so much trouble in the past? The same wrist that he had surgery on while with the Habs and the Oilers? Its too bad because he does have a pretty good shot from the point when he isn't injured. |

At the start of last year did you really expect us to pick 8th overall ? Everyone apart from Vanek, Hodgson, and Ehrhoff had a career worst years. That team was playing to get Ruff fired, give us an extra 34 games last year we push for the last playoff spot in my opinion. |

I honestly don't hate this lineup. At all. It gives a last shot at redemption to Leino, gets Grigo solid ice time, gets Girgs on the big club, and has a seemingly AWESOME 3rd line. |

We could get a wild card if Miller has a .920, Stafford rebounds, and Myers gets his crap together. However, the chances of all 3 of these events occurring are slim. |

Considering we went on a run late last year to screw up our top 5 pick its not unrealistic that we could have kept that pace going on our race to 9th if we played an 82 game season |

This team isn't very good, but it isn't close to the worst either IMO, especially with 26 and 30 still here. |

What are the odds that Vanek and/or Miller will still be on the Sabres roster when the season starts? I say 40% chance Vanek is gone and 60% Miller is gone. Franchise goalies with only weeks left on their contracts just don't seem to get dealt at the deadline. |

At this point any guess is a good guess. I thought for sure that one would have been moved by now |

I don't think any of them get moved before the season. Darcy needs to wait until the market adjusts. |

Darcy should have taken the best proposal he was given up too 5 min before the Avalanche stepped up to the podium at the draft for Miller. If Vanek is too be traded it should be at the deadline |

Do they drool over Buffalo's playoff success, too? |
