My work here is done. Apologies to Bill, but I'll pretend I never read this blog.

"This morning, Flyers Director of Player Development Ian Laperriere revealed that he has suffered a relapse of the post-concussion symptoms that forced his retirement as an active player."

Somehow Giroux tore tendons in his hand golfing, yet, that's not the worst Flyers news of the day.

Giroux's injury is just the start of the injury bug guys.

I'm sure Mezy will break both his legs learning how to salsa dance any day now.

Voracek will come down with the flu, which later turns out to be a flesh eating virus that takes both his arms.

You call me pessimistic, I call it a curse.

This franchise is cursed. Pelle, Howe, Lindros and now Giroux. I'm sure Crosby and Malkin will both be as healthy as an ox at age 40.

I really want to know what exactly the Flyers had to promise to the devil in order to win a cup.

It feels like the last 15 years has been one major injury after another... after another... after another...

We lost Lindros, Primeu (sp), Pronger, Lappy, Hatcher, and had a guy give up the ability to make children in the past 13 years.

That's not even including the cup runs we should have had but didn't get to have because of injuries. Like to Desjardin years ago.

I'd say it gives young guys a chance to step up and showcase themselves... but we've almost run out of players with a projection in the NHL.

WTF Giroux? No way something like that happened during a normal golf swing.

From now on, no more golf without proper protection.

As for Lappy, that's a shame, and I hope he gets better soon, but it doesn't impact the team/season and he needs to keep the bike in an upright position at all times...

Another name to add...Foppa.

It was toward the end of his career, I know, but he was so incredibly dominant that it's hard not to imagine what could have happened had he not had that freaky foot problem while in a Flyers jersey.
