What I meant is that giving up a first round pick for a guy like that means that player valuations are wayyyy out of whack again and silly contracts aren't far behind. If you give up a first round pick for a 3rd liner I have full confidence that you're going to (frank) up his contract too when it's time to negotiate. I guess you probably caught on the that though. If he could skate at an average level then he would have made the NHL. He was a tough well positioned guy in the ahl. Thing was when he got caught out of position he couldn't get back in time like NHL defenseman.
