Neither is going to put you over the top but if they were ever going to take one you'd have to like Mueller more. Center, bigger, younger. Maybe he got his concussion problem behind him.
Briere came out of nowhere too. Not making comparisons. |

Kevin Freiheit: Who would you rather have? - KevinJames
Mueller no question. He has a ton more upside than Raymond. Mueller has shown that he thrives (when healthy) when playing with elite talent. He was stagnant in Phoenix, and slightly better in Florida. But anyone who remembers his level of play when he first went over to Colorado from Phoenix will recall a 12 or 15 game stretch at the end of the season when he really showcased what he is capable of while playing with Duchene and (I believe) Chris Stewart. He tore it up. I think in the right environment, he could return to that level. It's a gamble like everything else obviously, banking on Buffalo being the "right environment". But an affordable, short term contract during a rebuild could turn out to be either a quick, failed experiment, or a jump start to the rebuild with a potential asset for the long term. He has top 6 potential, while I've always seen Raymond's upside as a 3rd liner at best. |

How about none of the above they both suck. Play the young guys and save the cap space for next year. The sabres will suck this year anyways so why waste the coin... |

A few shifts with Vanek on the PP (provided Vanek sticks around) and I doubt Mueller would be playing with Scott and Kaleta anymore. But I see you're point. |

Enroth is Swedish no? But I'm not quite sure what Tallinder or Enroth being a Swede has to do with Ristolainen. Rasmus is a Finn. |

I would say Mueller is the better option here. Although he's faced some injury, he's shown he can still play and he's a great skater. I feel like every time we played the Panthers this past season he would put up points on us. Plus, that hairstyle. We could use a little "flow" in B-Lo. Put him on a line with Ennis and Foligno and let em go to work. |
