Seguin was second overall?

Was considered a major part of the bruins run the cup when they won it.

Why are they so different,

- Putzfrau

i don't think he was at all imo ..

Was he really? I remember him sitting for half of the playoffs that year.

13 gp 3g 4a 7pts

That's a major part?

apparently he was having off ice issues too. management said he needed to be more professional. apparently he was always out partying and stuff.

Somehow Chicago got through to Kane, who from all I've read was significantly worse.

Not true. Tyler Seguin was a healthy scratch until Nathan Horton got dinged up. He only played 13 games of the playoffs that year.

I live in New England, during the run the bruins fans I'm friends with wouldn't shut up about him.

Was more of a fan favorite, I should have clarified.

Sulzer was a complete train wreck in his own end before he got hurt last year. I'd rather see one of the kids playing. Hell, I'd rather see if Mcbain brings anything. I've seen this act before.

He had a few really good games when they dressed him but then dissapeared. His playoffs shouldn't be compared to Kane in the playoffs

So Seguin at number two overall is going to max out as a 75 point guy isn't going to be a super star and parties too much.

Sounds like someone now...

They have a cup...

Maybe two.

I wasn't.

He's 21 and has already seen the finals twice.

In 11/12 he had the most points on the bruins...

Seguin is 5.7

He's a fantastic player. That's not an unreasonable contract for a fantastic 21 year old player.

Bruins got worse and they abandon anyone that doesn't fit into their "we are bruins this is how we do things" mentality.

Their system stifles production. I don't kno show you can't see that. There hasn't been one top tier point scorer on the bruins since Thornton left.

Obviously it worked out for them, but its still a fact.

did they win a cup recently?

Danny Paille has done more for their cup runs than Seguin has. I think we are getting off of the point.

IMO Boston didn't move him because they struggle developing talent or felt like he wouldn't play their system. IMO they traded him because they have 2 star centers already and they could get a really solid return for him based on his potential.

In 3 years the bruins will be kicking themselves. Just like with Kessel. Just like with thorton.

So, you're saying if the bruins had Kessel instead of Seguin and Hamilton those final appearances would have gone worse for them?

Really?

I don't know how what I'm saying is being construed as "Boston is a poopty team"
