I thought he sucked last year... along with everyone else on D in the first half of the short season. He was however solid the year before when we acquired him at deadline day. He is a backup plan in case they don't like what they see in the rookies.

It all depends. it's a 2-way contract so if someone like Ruhwhedel or McNabb or even Risto ( or even all 3) really struggle we have Sulzer. I didn't like Sulzer that much, not a fan of Pardy but liked him better than Sulzer. But IMO this organization is either making a big trade, or they don't have faith in a few of the young guys

Only thing Sulzer deserves is the opportunity to prove that he can be in the top 6 in training camp and preseason. Its laughable that you think a guy who wasn't very good last year and then tore his ACL deserves a roster spot automatically

He did suck. The few goals he scored were more puck luck than anything, they were awful goals. He also is the weakest D-man along the boards and in front of the net. The good is that he doesn't make the obvious Myers-esque mistakes

All back to homers story that he didn't get called up becuz management wasn't happy that he didn't stay in buffalo over the summer?

I do like mcnabb as a physical force... but I see why he is expendable with mccabe, risto, and zadorov coming up the pipeline...

Not really based on that as much as how Pysyk got the call up end of the year and how they drafted 2 big mobile defensemen. I think they were hiding McNabb thinking maybe they would move him
