Huge trade in the works. Boston and Dallas close on a deal sending Tyler Seguin to Stars for Loui Eriksson. Other parts involved as well |

Briere will go to the habs, 5 years @5mil per and you will like it. - LeafMan
You know you're way off target here. He's looking for a 1 year contract, then head back to Philly after they buy-out Vinny. |

I love this move for Boston. Loui will help tremendously on the RW. He can play both ends of the ice. Hopefully it goes through - fudd1689
I think Loui has been underrated for years. |

Add him to an already potent PK team it could spell nightmares for opposing PP units. I would slot Loui alongside Bergeron and Marchand. Go out and snag another forward to play on the top line |

Holy crap that Grabovski buyout is dumb. Would be a far better pickup than Bozak - S Kaspar Rollins
Whats dumb is some people fail to understand that there is a reason behind such a move..Grabo is a decent player and bring alot to the table,is it 5.5 mill worth tho?Not a chance..Grabo thrived under wilson's system and was putting up decent points and was a solid work horse that you couldnt keep down.Being as the system has changed when Carlyle took over and the players could not play the run and gun style anymore and had to focus more on the def side of the game it showed in Grabo's game..So why not use the second buyout and put the money towards a hole..The move is a tell tale sign the leafs have something done but cant announce it yet..
Remember it was Sunday that Nonis said Grabo would be back with the team and have to improve his game to keep his ice time..No one is going to be handed big mins without earning them...He also stated he does not forsee using the 2nd buyout this season.. So i believe a quick change like this could only mean 1 thing and that is he was able to put a deal together that would improve us over Grabo.. |

Is Grabo more overpaid than the UFA you're going to sign to replace him...

If this trade goes through, should make it interesting on the Alfressson front. Now he has the chance to play with fellow countryman Eriksson. |

Seriously....Clarkson for 5.5? If they are moving Grabo to clear room for a UFA they will be just as overpaid if not more. |

I don't think this trade would go through without seguin's representation arguing for it after that publicity stunt that the draft |

I think Alfie is pretty much resigning with Ottawa (see travis Yost's) blogg, but Boston needs a guy that can play on the wing and replace Horton and Erikson is just the guy a good 30 goal scorer that does his job. |

It's way riskier for the B's, u don't just give up on a 21 year old former 2nd overall pick without a top notch high level player coming back. Ericsson is nice but in a year or two we could all be scratching our heads |

He doesn't have to uproot his family if it's a 1 year deal. He can live in Boston during the season and return to Ottawa. I don't think it's going to happen but could be an interesting side note |

Agreed. Now Dreger is saying there might be more coming back to Boston with Eriksson. Maybe Glennie? Or some picks |
