Nystrom intrigues me a bit - ystoil
i am assuming edm only has brown as a bottom six at the moment? 2 if you count smyth.
otherwise i like nystrom and daugavins as bottom six left wingers,
skille and nodl as bottom six right wingers.
goalie backup khudobin, johnson from phx, and greiss from sjs.
smith, gordon or a.hall as 3c and 4c
top 4 d-man and 2nd line left wing can be tricky, but don't think it's rocket scientist. i'd consider scouting some other young players for options too. |

Count Smyth. I've come to the conclusion that too many in the organization think Smyth in a 4th line role will be effective. Which in all honesty isn't too far fetched.
Worse case scenario you have to trade a 5th or claim someone off waivers to replace him. |

In all honesty if I was everyone involved with the situation, I'd be making sure Nuge does what Klefbom did while rehabbing. While your shoulder is (frank)ed, you can still workout other muscles.
And no I'm not talking about jerking off with the other hand. |

I think about a guy like Lauri Korpikoski actually as a decent fit for a low price. A Clarkson-lite if you will.

Well in all honesty- why the (frank) have we not traded Hemsky for Smith already- IMO if we got 2 bigger players for the 3rd line I actually would not care if we kept Hemsky... its not like he cant generate 2ndary scoring... something we are in need of... further trade him at the trade deadline if we can only get a 5th rounder for him now... |

Broke my arm a few years back. Jerking off wasn't too bad, felt like someone else doing it. But whipping my ass was like a blind man was doing it. |

Deal wasn't there I guess. Stauffer kinda hinted shortly after that he didn't see it happening. |

I wonder if they're waiting to see whether they can ensnare a UFA like Gordon or Bozak.
You're right though, Hemmer and Horcoff aren't going to disappear into thin air. And unfortunately, I feel like there are a greater proportion of bad forward contracts than bad dman contracts, so we'll probably take a forward salary back.
Another idea is to say (frank) it and try to implement the famed Jagr idea we've been jerking about for years.

Not a great unit defensively, but secondary scoring won't be an issue... |

i like him too, rfa. $1.8m last year. i am just looking at all the unrestricted free agents so i don't have to come up with a trade idea. |

Still think a Quincey or Lilies for Horcoff could happen.
Stauffer has been eluding to those two being targets after free agency. Has been since before the draft. Makes sense. Why would you trade for either guy when you might be able to get someone better in free agency? |
