how he acquired bryz is as bad as anything. it set the stage for failure. ed can jump up and down all he wants, but homer has to say, 'if you want him, let me acquire him the right way'...and that means reading the mkt properly and negotiating like a pro instead of the amateur hour we witnessed. that makes sense.

It didn't set the stage for failure. The only thing that failed is how the Goalie played, and how the team played in front of him. That is the failure. There is still this mistaken belief that Holmgren could've played the market and used Vokoun to drive down the cost of a deal with Bryzgalov. I beleive that to be false. For two reasons, Winter would've have simply said, go get Vokoun, and called that bluff. These are my clients demands, if you want to sign him. And we'll work off of that. And the Flyers would've had to have been willing to settle for Vokoun. Which I don't beleive they were. The only things that made the Bryzgalov deal a bad deal, is how the player, played. and the Cap recapture rule added after the fact. If he played to his former Vezina level, his Cap hit was very manageable for that player.
This repeated refrain of the way it went about as being amatuerish, is way off base in my opinion.

In regards to politics...

There is no republican or democrat. There is only us, and them (the elite political class).

We fight with one another about politics, while they make backroom deals to screw us any way possible.

To think any of them really have our best interest at heart is a complete joke. Government is about gaining power, and more power, and more power. It's the nature of the beast.

A lot of times when talking about sports, their political views contradict their views on behaviors within sports.

I find that part fun. Other than that, it's just a distraction from the Vinny signing and what a great deal it is for us.

i don't understand you guys love affair with Talbot. He had a fluke year in his first year with the Flyers he won't crack 30points again. His numbers on average are around 20-23pts a season and his 1.75 cap hit plus with players in the system like a Laughton he could be replace more cheaply and more offensive upside.

I have a job and can pay them off. Mine actually aren;t bad. I'm fortunate to have parents that paid for most of my education. Plus I went to Temple, which isn't an expensive school.

My fiancé on the other hand struggles to make payments because her loans came with ridiculous adjustable rates (She had no idea what she was signing). Her loans will soon be my loans too.

Blaming Obama for all of this is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. This problem is shared between with republicans and democrats. Congress is made up for the most part of 'Old riche' people who have never experienced anything that most people are going through. They are all selfish wieners who are more interested in getting re-elected than helping anyone.

You see, being an elected official is like an internship for your next job. You allow your boosters to get rich and they will repay you when you're done.

I don't vote. I never have and I never will. Keep running out and electing people while our elected officials give you the illusion that your vote actually matters.

As an x-republican I can assume you are a republican. Obviously he is not. As a republican you need to know, that you can never ever argue with someone who isn't. They wrote the book on how to use made up words to make you do angry etc.
